Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen Computer Science branch as it is high demanded in the current market field. The faculty of our department is okay. Most of them are PHD professors with high experience in their subject. Semester exams is easy. You just have to follow Organizer book of your respective semester. 1 month is enough to ready for the exam.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are offered mainly by Ramco Cement, and Kolaghat Thermal Power Station for the mechanical and electrical students. Students of 4th years are offered internships from the college. However you can opt for internships from your own choice in the internet.
Placement Experience
Students of 7th semester get the opportunities of campus placements. Main recruiters are Wipro, TCS, Infosys, and IBM. Highest package offered in this year was 7 lpa and average package was 4.5lpa. 72% students got placed this year. After getting degree my plan is to get a job in a good company.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes you will get the options of different scholarships, like SVMCM, PRAGATI, and other scholarships offered by the respective states from where the student belongs. The academic fee of this college for 4 years B.Tech program is nearly 500000.
Campus Life
The annual fest is conducted nearly in the month of March or April. Tech fest is known as Resonance and the cultural fest is known as Spandan. You will get library facilities where you get a variety of books. There are several sports in the cricket, vollyball, football, basketball, badminton, carrom and table tennis.
Hostel Facilities
In hostel rooms you will get a table, a chair, an almirah, a bed and a lan port. You will get 24 hours electricity, water and wifi facility(lan). However, meal in the hostel is not upto the mark. You will have to compromise. Registration process for hostel starts during the starting of every semester.
Admission
Student have to appear for WBJEE or JEE MAINS exams. For getting admission in Computer Science branch, student have to score a rank of 30000 in WBJEE and upto 300000 for JEE mains. They can find the admission form and details in the official website of the college.
