Fantastic review of IIT Varanasi(BHU)

The curriculum was good, there are very talented teachers available here. In this IIT, there is a better placement percentage in the CSE branch. So, I have chosen this branch among other available branches in other IITs. There are very friendly faculty here. They all graduated from other IITs, in their subjects. Their teaching method is very different from that of the teachers I've met in 11th and 12th classes. There were two semesters for each year, and each semester had a mid-semester exam, 1 month after the semester started and an end sem exam, 3 months after the sem started. Between each semester, there is a semester break of 1 month. Mid-exams were a bit easy, but end-semester exams were tough.

There are a ton of internship opportunities here. If your CGPA is above 8, you will be allowed for internships in the best companies. The average internship package offered this year is 24 lakhs. We must do projects to get a better internship placement.

From the 5th semester, students are eligible for placements. Various companies like Google, Amazon, Asus, Microsoft etc Approximately 145 offers per semester for the CSE branch. The highest package is 1.4 crs per annum. And average package is 33 lakhs per annum for the CSE branch. In the CSE branch, the placement percentage is approximately 98 percentage. After getting the degree i will try for a job.

The fee structure is very simple. For general and OC students, The total fee per semester is 3 lakhs. If you are a student of the OBC creamy layer category, you will get a 40 per cent reduction in fees. And, if you are of the OBC NCL or ST category, you will get 100% fee reimbursement. We can get various scholarships such as NSP scholarship and reliance digital scholarship here.

Campus life is very happy and enthusiastic. There are many fests conducted here, the tech fest is conducted in February and is conducted by COPS, in IIT BHU. There are many books in the IIT BHU library, in various sections separated according to their classrooms are very spacious with the best ventilation and 24-hour cool water supply. This campus is best known for the availability of coaching for all types of sports. And, there is a sport fest organised on this campus, known as SPARTHA. It is the 2nd largest sportsfest that is held in INDIA. Social groups include groups in Discord and WhatsApp.

I have written the JEE Advanced examination. After that, there is a councelling service called, JOSAA. On that website, we have to register and place our college options in priority order. There will be 8 rounds of JOSAA councelling. And, there will be cutoff ranks for each branch in each iit. The lower the cutoff rank, the higher the difficulty of getting it. After 8 rounds, you will be availed a seat in an IIT of your highest priority, that suits your rank. The students who have reservations have benefits such as increased cutoff rank, and a higher probability of getting a better seat. Students of OBC NCL and ST categories get full fee reimbursement.
