Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum at NMIMS is at par with all the top IIMs. The faculty members are also well qualified with the majority of them holding the Ph.D. degree in their respective specializations. Owing to the bigger batch size, the student: faculty ratio is not up to the mark which is around 50:1 (I might not be exactly accurate though). As the trimester system is followed here, the exams are held every 3 months and there is a mid-term in every trimester.
Internships Opportunities
There are a lot of internship opportunities at NMIMS. Great companies visit the campus for summer internships with the average stipend mentioned in the placement reports being 2 lakhs for the entire period of the internship. Again the process is very competitive as the batch size is huge.
Placement Experience
The placements at NMIMS are really good. The only problem is the batch size. Everyone (100%) gets placed at good pay packages. Various companies like Asian paints, ITC, P and G, American Express, Bain, Mckinsey and many more good companies visit the campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees at NMIMS is really high which is 1195000 per year. The top 50 students in the NMIMS admission process who eventually took admission at NMIMS were offered a scholarship of 200000 Rs. No merit-based scholarship in the college is offered.
Campus Life
There is a campus at NMIMS :p. Life in Mumbai is really fast and full of rush. The classrooms are really good and the atmosphere is really competitive here. There are a couple of fests and sports events which is conducted outside the campus. The various clubs and committees include NjM, Phenomenon, Social Responsibility Forum etc.
Admission
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree with at least 50% in bachelors. Candidates need to appear for NMAT. Thereafter students need to fill out the NMIMS form separately. The NMAT form costs 2800 while the NMIMS form costs around 2600. No reservation is there in NMIMS.
Interview Experience
The interview process was offline. There was no GD during the admission process. WAT was taken which was given a weightage of 5 marks, a new WATSON-GLACIER test was taken which was given a weightage of 20 marks, and a PI was taken which was given a weightage of 10 marks.
