Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose the BCCA course for its comprehensive curriculum that covered both theoretical and practical aspects of computer applications. The faculty: students ratio was adequate and the faculty members were well-qualified in the relevant industry. Overall I had a positive experience with the course curriculum and faculty members.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students become eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, with companies like TCS. Wipro and Byjus visit the campuses. The average package offered was 3 lac, and a significant percentage of students secured placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for my course was reasonable at 21k per year, with a policy of fee hike every few years. While there were limited opportunities for scholarships, the college offered financial assistance and campus job with stipends.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life was vibrant, with annual and tech fests conducted in February and March, respectively. The library had a good collection of books, and the classrooms were well-equipped. There were ample opportunities for sports and extra-curricular activities, with various clubs and groups available for students. The college also had student-run social groups and websites.

Admission

The eligibility criteria were clearly stated on the college website, and I was able to easily find the application form, application fees, and application dates. The college also provided clear details of reservation benefits, which were helpful. Overall, I do not see any major improvement that could be made in the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The B.com is not a very comprehensive and complex degree to complete for someone who wants to pursue his/her career in finance. It can be referred as an initial start or push start for one's finance journey over the years. Also the relevance of B.com in real world is gradually decreasing day by day.

Placement Experience:

From semester 5, you become eligible for final placement and semester 3 for internship placement. many companies like Nykaa, Myntra, Duetsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, Zomato, Beerbiceps and more have visited. the highest package in history is 38 lakh per annum. The average is 8-9 lakh per annum. Around 70% of students get the college placement. My plan is to start my own business after college. I am although doing internships through college. Already done one in Beerbiceps and one in chorus call.

Placement Experience:

Placements in my college are decent but not very high. students usually become eligible from the final year and few companies visit for roles like accounting assistant, sales, customer service. The average package is usually around Rs.2LPA-Rs.3LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Due to NEP the course has been more developed to the students and teachers also explain the topocs to us very clearly and the thing should be change that the timing of the paper are at morning time which is at 7:30am it should be 10 or 10:30 because this time the students get late to the paper and didnt get time to prep.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.

Remarks:

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
