Comprehensive Review of Kamla Nehru College: Academics, Campus Life, and Opportunities

The course B.Sc. has a peculiar aspect of life sciences that influenced me to apply for it. It gives the vision to see the day to day incidents or actions in a very scientific manner and reach out to their solutions. The ability to understand and deduce possible solutions to specific problems is nurtured in this course. The hands on practical aspect is helpful and makes you a research enthusiast. The syllabus setted up in this course have a flow of each part that helps to better understand the aspects. The focus on practical analysis really helps in becoming industry or research ready and puts the base for further improvement. The changes are already done in the curriculum as per making the student industry ready but more skill based courses are need to be added to the curriculum. More entrepreneurship courses should be added. The frequency of examination is once every 5 months and the level of difficulty is I suppose depends upon how well you have prepared for it.

The fee structure for this course in this college is 12500 for general/open/OBC category per year For NT/SBC/EBC it is 4600 per year For ST/SC it is only 1670 per year The fees are rarely hiked but it only hikes by like 5% to 6% . The frequency for this hike is once every 5 years . The total cost for my education in this institute including everything tution fees, service charges and other is 39000 rs for three years as am an open category candidate. EBC scholarship, SBC scholarship, Freeship, Scholarship for SC/ ST/ NT is also available.

An annual event is conducted which is called as Sharda utsav typically held in month of October or November. Science fest, business model fest are also organised ine the campu It involves dance,drama, singing, fashion show etc. the library is rich in books in all aspects of academic including books for higher entrances like UPSC , MPSC. Research journals are also avaialbel. The inter college sports tournament are held in the college via University of Nagpur. Each department have their respective clubs where they perform different club activities.

We are eligible for the course if we have above 50% aggregate in 10+2 . The application form is found on the official website of Kamala Nehru Mahavidyalaya The application fees depend on the respective course you apply for . The application has been started since the announcement of 12th class result. The exams are conducted once every 5 month for each year. That is twice a year as it follows a semester pattern. The exams are moderately difficult.

The faculty here is extremely talented and experienced in their respective fields. Their are approximately 5 to 6 faculty members per department. The faculty to student ratio is 1:50 so you can conduct interactive sessions also where they will guide you regarding this. All of the faculty member in the departments are atleast post graduate and NET SET cleared so the faculty is well experienced with minimum 5 to 6 years of experience in their teaching field. The departmental heads are all PhD holders with minimum experience of 15 to 20 years in teaching. We can interact with the teachers in college hours during their availability from 7a.m. to 2p.m. . The teachers are really helpful for doubt solving and we can approach the faculty during exam periods also they all are really helpful.
