Course Curriculum Overview

3

My elder brother recommends me to do this course as he has experience. There are 2 sections in my branch and each branch has 70 students. All teachers are well-qualified and experienced. But I have a little problem that most of them most of the time use Odiya language and it is hard to understand for some of the students. Mid-term, internal, and final semester always happens on time and they were hard to pass but not that much if we study daily.

Fees and Financial Aid

It didn't cost me that much as I daily travel for college and didn't stay in a hostel. I paid for one time only after every year and the exam fee before the exam. The annual fee is 12000. I applied for scholarships multiple times but didn't get any.

Campus Life

2.5

My experience at the campus was a little harder as I struggle to talk to new people. I have only 2-3 close friends and if they were absent any day then I feel so bored. The library was one the best and most peaceful places in the college and there was a huge variety of books. Sports were organized by the college at the end of the year but I never participated in any one of them as I was not interested.

Admission

It takes almost 2-3 months for the completion of admission. I think this is a lot of time. What a student will do until then, he couldn't do anything except wait. I think all this process should be done within 1 month.

Other Applied Colleges

Government Autonomous College | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com]

As this college is 40km far from my house. To avoid daily up and down, I decided not to take admission in this college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum of B.Com under Sambalpur University covers important subjects like Accounting, Business Law, Economics, Management and Taxation which are essential for future studies and careers in finance or commerce. The structure is simple to follow and helps students build a good base in theory. Semester exams are conducted on time and the difficulty level is moderate. A student who consistently studies can score well without extreme pressure. However, there is a lack of practical exposure such as industry visits, internships or real-world business case studies. Also, subjects related to modern digital business trends like data analytics, advanced Excel, and GST practicals should be included to make students more job-ready. Overall, the curriculum is relevant but needs more updates to match the current professional requirements

Placement Experience:

In our college, final-year students are eligile for campus placements. While i don't recall the specific companies that visited, one of my friends interviewed with Axis Bank and got selected with a package of around 2.4 lakh. The exact percentage of students are placed and details of average or highest packages are unclear to me, but the placements process provides opportunities of those actively seeking jobs. After completing my degree, I plan to pursue an independent career rather that seeking a traditioinal job placement.
