Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because I always had a zeal to take a road which is not taken by many. I felt like I am a creative person and engineering or medical just doesn't go with me. I got into LSR , which is a dream college for many , how could I not come here. The course here is pretty decent and the faculty is chill too. You are not bombarded with mind boggling assignments.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

There are a lot of companies which provide you internship through the placement cell . Some of them are DE Shaw, quint, cruxe, aashman foundation, metvy, etc. They may also provide you a pre placement offer based on the work you have done for the company or the organisation.

Placement Experience

3

The placement is fine in college. It is not a bulk campus placement like in most of the engineering colleges but it is pretty decent. The one who is smart and confident enough gets it. Companies provide a decent pakage to the ones who get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is pretty decent. It's around 25,000 Rs, which like affordable only. There are scholarship opportunities too for the students who cannot afford it. Students who are not very financially stable can avail the scholarship.

Campus Life

3

Life at the campus is very cheerful. While coming to LSR, one would obviously think that it's an all girls college, will it be worth it?.. You will face competitive behaviour but trust me in the end is all worth it. Undoubtedly it helps you grow.

Admission

The admission process was based on merit. There were various councelling for the admission. The first cut off for BA hons Journalism at LSR was 99% for general. I got admission through eca (extra curricular activity) quota. I had zonal level certificates for creative writing which were really helpful for admission

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is functional and active. The chances depend on the course that you have opted for. The placements are really good for commerce, economics, Maths, Stats but for the other department's students it might be a bit challenging to find a company of their domain. The students become eligible to sit in placement from 5th semester. The companies that visit my college are Godrej, BCG, McKinsey, Nation with Namo, Blackstone, Accenture, KPMG, EY, citibank, microsoft and Amazon etc.

Journalism was first introduced in Delhi University at DCAC. The amazing faculty and a proper media studio makes Delhi College of Arts and Commerce a perfect choice for Jouranlism aspirants. The media studio has professional mics, green screen, cameras, teleprompter, switcher and other equipment required for real life learning. The classes are full-fledged, sometimes irregular. Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate my course four out of five because in journalism is a field where people are not about so much. The main stream media does not show the real problems and challengs of the country. They live in a bubble of their own. Many of the times they provide miss information to the people which hurts the hearts of the people. They do not cover multiple aspects of media. The exams in the daj is not so hard you can easily pass it by just 4 to 5 days of preparation.
