Course Curriculum Overview
Faculty: student ratio is good, not great but ok. Professors are highly educated. Students are satisfied with the faculty members. Internal exams take place almost every month. Semester exams were held 6 months before the semester started. As it is under makaut university so it follows their method of exam. Almost every student is satisfied with their course.
Internships Opportunities
Internships in top companies AMAZON-15 students around 80000 pm TCS-60 students around 30000pm Walmart-1 student around 70000 pm cognizant-30 students 30000 pm many students got SDE roles for their internship many got full-stack roles many got frontend developer roles. I am currently in my 5th sem.
Placement Experience
After 6th-semester students become eligible for campus placement. Lots of companies visit our campus. Amazon visited our campus last year. last year almost every student get placed. The highest package last year was around 50 lacs average package you will get 500000. Goldman Sachs, Amazon Infosys, and IBM visit our campus. TCS cognizant Capgemini visit regularly.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure for the different streams is different. For Cse and ECE it is 6000 per semester, for EE and ME it is 3000 per sem, but for IT it is 12000 per semester, yeah you heard it right 12000 per sem. As it is a government college, you will get a Government scholarship. the college will help you to get this scholarship. There is an option You can get a freeship also means your course fees will be waived.
Campus Life
Espektro is the name of the annual fest. It is the event every student waits for. many Popular Bollywood singers perform there. There is a central library, you can get books from there, the college provides you library card. Every year there take place annual sports events. There are many clubs in this college. Almost in every field, you will get a separate club, Like photography, dance, singing, coding, math, etc.
Hostel Facilities
You have to apply for the hostel. we have a separate hostel for 1st year. we have 6 hostels in total .1 is for girls,1 is for Mtech students,1 is for first years, and rest three are senior hostels. PC is a girls' hostel, and APC is a 1st-year hostel. VC, RBC, And NEW HALL are senior hostels. Every hostel is good .there is wifi connection gym and sports facilities available. and NEW HALL is the best, Boarders of NEW HALL are KING. meal quality is good in every hostel.
Admission
Kalyani Government Engineering College offers UG and PG courses in engineering, it offers MCA degrees also. You will get admission to Btech based on your WBJEE rank. The college also offers direct admission in Btech 2nd year through lateral entry courses.20% reserve seats are there for lateral entry. The college offers Mtech courses based on your GATE rank. Admission to BTech lateral entry is based on WBJELET rank. Admission is held in offline mode after covid. The admission process is very smooth.
