My Four Years of B.Tech From RKU

I will not say that RK university is best but it have good reputation and also won many awards for there different fields . Recently they have started funding for start up and entrepreneurship which is helpful for many students. If any students gets average marks in there 12th than I will suggest them to take admission in RKU , but they have good score than there are many other good options other than RKU.

I got admission in 2013 , I appeared JEE exam for appearing into this collage, I got 21 in JEE-MAIN . It was 60-40 ration of State Board score and JEE for computing merit score . I choose this collage because It was the only State Private University in my city(Rajkot)

RK University is state private university and they have their own syllabus , which is updated than GTU and all other university , but there are very less subjects than GTU (Gujarat Technical University) in RKU, they provides Adaptable Credit System in which students can take More subjects of upcoming semester , you students have opportunity to complete their Engineering in 3.5 year .

our collage doesn't provide internship but when I was in 6th semester we have opportunity to study 5 weeks in "wroclaw university of technology,poland" which has collaboration with RKU .it was considered as internship , but it doesn't has any kind of stipend . but in final years there where lots of companies came for the interview and they provides the stipend in training period start from minimum 3500 to 8000. The companies came for the Interview are Collabera , eTech Global services , NCrypted Technologies, Emipro Technologies . most of companies are from Gujarat has package upto 5 lac.

For placement each student has fill the placement form , collage sends company profile and package details via mail to register students if student is interested for appearing into interview then they can register for that company , generally every company has 3-4 rounds Aptitude , Technical and HR Interview , few company also has Group Discussion,I have appeared in following 5 companies . 1) Collabera , Baroda - (pack 2.5 - 3.5 Lacs) 2) eTech Global services, Gandhinagar - (pack 3.5 Lacs) 3) Arth I Soft , Ahmedabad (pack 1.5 - 2.5 Lacs) 4) Capital Novus , Gandhinagar ( pack 1.5 - 2 Lacs) 5) Emipro Technologies , Rajkot (Pack 1.2 - 1.8 Lacs) I got selected in Emipro Technologies .

The collage celebrates all kind of events like Cultural , Technical and Sports .collage organized cultural festival every year named "Gallore" which contains all kind of cultural activity like singing , Dancing , Drama , Comedy and Prize distribution. collages has Technical event name "Technoplanet" which also organized every year , in this event students from other collage also can take part . it contains all technical and non-technical events for all departments.

Fee structure is feasible compare to other collages in Rajkot but still it is no affordable for everyone , it cost me for 32,000 per semester and 2500 exam fee . and 6000 library fee for 4 years . other than these collage organize industrial visits which are also paid start from (1000-5000).

Collage provides "K S Patel Scholarship" It is offered by college trust Sambjibhai Harjibhai charitable trust. Each year thousand of students participating in this exam for scholarship. any they opportunity to get upto 1.2 lac scholarship .

The collage equally has Gender ration other than in civil and mechanical department , Faculty staff also balanced in gender ration, there are 9000 students and 600 Faculties . The Labs and Workshop faculties are very good , that contains all equipments and PCs in average condition.Collage doesn't contains any kind of sexual orientation .but there are also minor cases of tolerance regarding political status .

Hostel facility is not that much good in RK University ,but they have girls and boys hostel in different area . the mess is also different for both boys and girls . even they have different play grounds. rooms are not that much large in size but it is enough for 4 people in one room , each rooms have their own bathrooms and drinking water faculty and also locker . The mess food is average but they provides variety in food , hostel facility costs around 85,000 per year .

The all senior students are not helpful but luckily we got very good senior , they guided us and helped us to choose the subjects , collages also has alumni meetings every 2-3 years . where we can get chance of meeting our senior and also can ask them about corporate culture .

There are two mid-semester exam and one Final exam in written , other than these collages has 2 internal practical exam and 1 external practical exam for each semester . the exams are mostly into the class rooms . I never forgot the day I have spend in examination room . there are 1-2 holiday between two subjects and collage provides maximum possible holiday for hard subjects so student can referrer maximum course before appearing into the exam.I got one interesting experience , my DBMS final paper got cancelled due to rain and I got 2 more days for reading for that subject.

For taking admission in Gujarat, There is ACPC online admission process where there are three different rounds after choice filling the collages . Everyone got their merit rank who have register in online admission process, based on that rank every get admission , I got admission in 2nd Round by there online admission process.

Collage campus is far away from Rajkot city,so it have natural environment , the campus has different building for Different departments , they have Different department for specially for Engineering , which has it's own Library , Computer Labs , MOS lab, Civil Lab and Workshop. The class rooms are non-AC which I don't like about but It has enough large in size which can feel upto 80 students . Computer Labs has AC and it also well maintained PCs.
