College of applied science Chelakkara, Thrissur is an amazing college for a student to improve his skillset and thereby getting opportunity to get job in well reputed companies.

I'm currently a final year BCA student in our college. It was an amazing and memorable moment for me for the past 2 years. There is a college office on the front side for our admission. We need to carry the required documents for reservation benefits. The campus life is very calm and enjoyable and the placement cell is very good. About 40-50 students get placed last year. There had been many programs held there like programs, blood contributions, etc. The teachers are professional as well as friendly in nature. Our college focuses more on studies and they help a lot with our final-year projects.3s

I choose this course because there is wide scope for the IT field. I had also an interest in gadgets and software. In our college, there are more students in the computer science department than in the electronics department. Teachers are well-educated and professional in their careers. Exams were scheduled on time and the results were a bit delayed. Anyone who prepares for the exam can get passed in exams.

Many companies like TCS conduct training for placements. Many companies like Microsoft offer internships that could help in getting a job. We had a project on multimedia recommender system and we had done it in our college itself.

Students of final year gets opportunities for placements.Many high reputed companies like Deloitte,Boschwill be there for hiring process.The salary package is from 15000-30000.About 40% of students gets placed last year.My plan is to get job in a reputed company.

As the BCA degree includes more lab there are fee hikes as compared to B.com and all. The fee is 15,000/- per semester. So the overall amount would be almost 1lakh for 3 years. There are many scholarships and internship programs. People who could avail reservation get necessary benefits.

There have been many programs like arts day, sports day, Union elections, food fest, etc. There are library facilities in our college and it's a huge collection for our studies including previous year's question papers. There is a volleyball and badminton court in our college. Students who have skills get the opportunity to improve their skills. There have been many groups/teams for various programs. There's a government awareness program in our college.
