Remarks
Students become eligible for this course through comedk exam, kcet exam, or through management quota. You can find the application on comedk website. There are some reservations for Tulu and Hkr minorities. The admission process is quite simple.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course cause I wanted to do cs or It engineering but didn't get a seat in NIT or IIT. For each faculty, there are almost 80 students in the class. Teachers are highly qualified and the teaching method is outcome based which is really helpful. Term exams are taken very often and they test academics in a very organized way.
Internships Opportunities
There is a departmental tie-up with several companies to provide internships that are unpaid in 1st year and paid by 2nd year. Project-based learning at dsce enhances student quality working in industry.
Placement Experience
Placements start from mid or end of 3rd year. Several companies arrive at our college with fang company's package. The highest package goes around 45lpa and avg for cs it is 8-9 LPA. In cs it placement percentage is 95%. I've planned to work remotely for foreign companies in the blockchain industry.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee structure is declared before and is not changed. Cost of study yearly goes about 2.5 lakh for one academic year. On campus placements happen very well. There are some scholarship schemes available for reserved castes for kcet students.
Campus Life
There are two annual fests. One is vibrations which are conducted in the month of march and 2nd is Furore, conducted in September. Dsce has a great library infrastructure and very well-established libraries. Qualities of the classroom should be improved there's no Ac even the sitting arrangement is very crowded. Sports facilities are very poor and the college ground is very small. Extracurricular activities are promoted by college management. There are several clubs in college. One is point blank which is a coding club of our college and people in that are often placed with one of the highest packages in college. There is CPA and iedc also.
