Remarks

Eligibility of the course is 80 plus marks in that subject on HS, then only one name will come for the merit list. Online form fill-up all the notification college website Reservation is not allowed. No improvement admission process good.

Course Curriculum Overview

I Choose this because Bengali subject I understand most. The faculty is very good and the student ratio is very good 70 students studied in the Bengali class. Qualification is 80 percent result to approve merit list and teaching method is very good. 2-semester exams in a year and passing were very simple.

Fees and Financial Aid

Per year fees of admission are 1260 only and exam fees are 600 rupees per year. The scholarship is minority obc and swami Vivekananda scholarship and others.

Campus Life

Annual fest, farewell party, independence day celebration, Saraswati puja, and 5 September- teachers day celebration on our campus. All books are available in our library Arts, Science, Education, Motivation and Biography books are available. There are many facilities in the classroom, fan table, and water supply all the classroom. Yes, all the sports and extracurricular activities on campus such as cricket football volleyball NCC are there.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities is very good hostel is new build nad paint 1 room 2 student are there total 8 room available only for minority student also room fans and lights available Meal quality is very good noon rice dal egg curry and panch torkari and night vat dal egg curry

Presidency University: A hope of light but needs a lot of upgradation

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Department of Bengali is one of the oldest Bengali department in the state. It offers undergraduate honours and postgraduate courses. Recently, they have started PhD courses as well. The Bengali department is actively engaged in research in hot topics in literature. The curriculam of Presidency university is most diverse among all other University, colleges in the state. It begins with very basic topics at the first year and ends with very specific research level papers at the final year. The syllabus is so advance that bachelors students can compare themselves with the masters level students after completeing the course. I will mention the bachelor course curriculam in summary: Semester I- Prachin Bangla Sahitya O Bangalir Itihas sandhan, Bangla bhasar itihas o bhasatotto, Semester II- Prak chaitanya juger bangla sahityer itihas, Madhyajuger bangla sahityer itihas o kabyapath, Semester III- Shorosh o soptodosh shotabdir samaj: itihas o chaitanyadeb, Ashtadosh shatabdir samaj sangkriti, changa-alanlkar o prof sangsodhan, Semester IV- Adhunik juger udbhab, gadya o probondho sahitya, kabya-kabitae itihas, natoker itihas o rupbhed, Semester V- Bangla Upanyas, Bangla chotogolpo, Rabindranath, Semester VI- Unish o Bish shataker bangla samaj songskriti o sahitya, bhinna bhasar sahityer itihas o tar obhighat, bharatiya alangkar shatra, sahitya o shilpo. Other than these compulsory courses, there are lot of exceptional elective courses that attracted me more towards joining this prestigious university. Since Presidency University select specific students through their difficult entrance tests, the semester exams should not be difficult for the students, but there are some papers in the course which needs to delt with extra care and attention to get extra marks.

I love to read English and it's easy for me so that's why I choose it. There are a total of 50 students in this course. Our teachers are very helpful and talented and also support us. To be honest Bolpur college is not the best or very good college under Burdwan university. But it's one of the good colleges around our area. It is near the station, so you don't have any trouble finding the college.Our college is under Burdwan university, so the questions & rules are the same as other colleges under the Burdwan university. College had enough buildings & classroom for all the departments.Also there are library, student counsellor, common rooms. Every department has good teachers. At the end of the semester students scored good marks. Practical rooms are full of equipments, so you don't have a problem there.
