NIT Warangal Experience

NIT Warangal is one of India's top 24 engineering colleges, and it was the first NIT to be established in the country. The MHRD, India has also approved the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP-III) for the college. The TEQIP-III programme provides excellent research opportunities and works to develop faculty and college staff. To be a part of NIT Warangal, I applied through the college's official website. The admissions process went smoothly, and I was chosen based on my GATE and academic performance.

The college's curriculum is extensive and meets international industrial standards. The curriculum combines management and engineering instruction. The curriculum is extremely detailed and assists us in understanding the fundamental concepts of engineering from the beginning to the advanced levels. The college's faculty is also excellent. They recognise the importance of the curriculum and teach us accordingly. The faculty's teaching methods are so simple and effective that we are engrossed in each lecture and have an easy understanding of the engineering concepts. If we are still unable to understand anything, we can easily approach the faculty and request assistance.

The internship is optional, but it is determined by our skills. The internship is dependent on our skills, and if we have good skills, the stipend is also good. Anyone who does not receive an internship can work on a project with a college professor.

The placement committee has enabled the college to achieve a 100% placement record. To participate in the college's placement drive, we must register our details with the assistance of our respected faculty and perform well in our academics. The college placement council guides us through each round of placement and ensures we are placed. The most expensive package was around 35 LPA, and the most affordable package was around 12 LPA. The college council was able to invite over 70 companies, including Microsoft, TCS, Wipro, Oracle, and Adobe, to our campus for a placement drive.

The college's infrastructure is in good condition. The classrooms are large and open. Spring Spree is our college's annual fest, and Technozion is our college's tech fest. The college also organises various types of project work, as well as monthly small tech fests on the college campus to promote our innovative ideas and demonstrate our innovative skills. The college library is large and contains all types of books from around the world. All of these books are also available in e-book format, allowing us to access the books at any time without having to visit the library. There are also sports facilities on campus, such as a cricket and football playground, a badminton court, a basketball court, and a volleyball court.

The hostel is excellent. The rooms are spacious, and there are options for triple and double occupancy. The rooms have basic amenities such as beds, study tables, and almirahs. A LAN connection is also available in the rooms, as well as a high-speed WiFi internet connection. The hostel mess food quality is above average, but they keep a proper hygienic level. The hostel has all of the necessary amenities and facilities for our comfort.
