Remarks

I got seat in GRIET college through Tsecet. I got below 1000 rank in ecet exam branch rank 33 in civil engineering. To apply ecet you should pass the diploma . You should be ready with the all certificates originals and Xerox sets which ever required to apply.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because I am interested in civil engineering and I like the construction field. Without construction, there is no world so a civil engineer must require. So I joined civil engineering and our faculty is very well experienced and talented. Exams are conducted on time and it was very difficult to pass

Internships Opportunities

Internshala, bhel, etc will provide internships to students. Our faculty sends us to join those companies to persuing an internship degrees. Maximum no stipends are provided. All students must join and get a certificate of internship

Placement Experience

From the 3rd semester, students are eligible for campus placements in our college. Wipro, TCS, Amazon, Google,l& t, etc,.. companies will hire the students.90% of students get placements in our college. Higher education or a job is my priority after getting a degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are very high in this college. But for civil it is reasonable but for software, engineering fees are too high. Govt provides a scholarship for us. So many companies will visit the GRIET college and hire the students.

Campus Life

Spectra and Pulse are the annual fests conducted in our college with high facilities and so many tech fests are also conducted. Our library has many books to study. GRIET college encourages the students to participate in sports and extracurricular activities

Hostel Facilities

I am staying in the BC welfare hostel Telangana. Govt provides facilities in the hostel. They take our scholarship money and provide accommodation to students. Quality is average and we have to adjust.

Thinking Beyond Academics and Placements , life at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus.

Placement Experience:

Placement here are going on pretty well considering the recession that hit the market in recent years,student become eligible for placements from the first sem of their final year , typically 7th semester for single degree students (BE) and 9th semester for dual degree students (Msc+BE),as per the recent cycle around 310+ companies including Google, MIcrosoft,Goldman sachs etc. had visited campus with offer majorly ranging from 18 to 27 lpa , the highest package last cycle (domestic) was for 65lpa and average aroun 21 lpa. The perecentage of students getting placed is above 80% and remaining usually go on for pursuing masters or already have a PPO from the Practice School Internship.I personally will be sitting for placements in my last year and will be hoping to land a good offer.

Internships starts from spring break of 4th sem and placements start from spring break of 6th sem ( if you don't get a PPO ) Many big companies like Microsoft , Oracle , DeShaw and Qualcom visit the college. More than 80% of student that are eligible for placements get placed while the others get off campus placements or opt for higher studies. My plans after getting th degree depends on the CTC of package I get offered. If it is not upto my expectation I will pursue higher education abroad.
