Entrance Preview

I took SNAP entrance exam and scored 84%.I opted for SIMS because of it's fees which is much lower than other institutes in this category. Also, placements are at par.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, everyone gets internship and hardly anyone gets left out. You also have an option to opt out of internship if you want to try out on your own. Internship interviews happen in the second semester and internship starts in third semester. Average stipend is 7000 however it totally depends on the calibre of the student.

Placement Experience

Placements starts in the month of November and goes till February. Maximum companies come for Marketing profiles followed by Finance.HR and Operations fall slightly behind in terms of number of companies visited however quality of companies visited is very good.

College Events

Cultural fests are backbone of any MBA college. The biggest cultural fest in the college is Orion which draws participants from across the country.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is 30% less compared to other colleges in SIMS bracket. It was 5.5 lakhs during 2015 and had to be paid in Installments.

Exam Structure

Exams are hectic and back to back. There are times when you have 2 exams lined up for one day. However, this is part of the stress and time management which one has to deal with in the corporate and prepare students to handle multiple challenges at one time.

Faculty

Internal and External faculty is quite experienced and have good knowledge of subject matter. External faculty comprise of professionals from the industry who takes few subjects and classes are usually held in evening for them. Faculty of Operations and Finance is extremely strong and for Marketing, there are few lecturers who are really good in terms of knowledge and expertise.

Placement of this college going well and steady beacuse of regular mock PI and GD starting from the semester -1 as after that they have to go winter internship and after semester-2 they go summer internship with this experience it help them to achieve their final placement and if they do not achieve they go for regular mocks and getting feedbacks.

The college provides 100% final placements. The higest package is around 24 lakhs per annum. Average package is 9.56 lakhs per annum. Like all other colleges under Symbiosis University, SIMS too, requires clearing the cut off of the SNAP entrance exam. The cut off is usually 92 percentile. After getting shortlisted for the same, there is a GD, WAT, PI round, where in the further competencies of the candidate is tested. I have applied for 3 colleges under the SYMBIOSIS umbrella namely SIBM, Pune SIMS,Pune SCHMRD, Pune. In SIMS Pune i got admission through the defense quota. If we talk about the criteria of college First you have to give a snap exam after that if you are in the cut-off list then you are invited for GDPI Round which is a very fun loving and learning experience for me. The academic criteria for SIMS is at least 50% marks in graduation and not particular about age.
