Remarks

For being eligible to get into Amity University Kolkata (including Amity Law School Kolkata) one must secure at least 55% in 10th and 12th standards. For this case, there will be one admission test. And if one secures more than 80% each in one's 10th and 12th, he/she will get the chance of direct admission. Where to find the Application form: The application form can be found on the official website of Amity, which has to be filled along with a nominal application fee for proceeding further. New admission generally takes place between the month of July and October. After completing the application process one will be given login credentials for availing microsite of Amity through mail or SMS or both. I personally believe there are no changes needed to be implied for the application procedure.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Since I've grown up in an Advocate's family and atmosphere, I wanted to pursue my career in this track. I personally believe the faculties Amity Kolkata has, are qualified enough to teach. One does not need any tuition individually and may get very small free time for wasting. Most of the faculties are caring except some since they are a bit professional. One may have doubt and also put it forward towards the faculties and they will be cleared. Since I am being taught in online mode from my the first day, I can assure you that one will be taught with beautiful PowerPoint presentations by the respective faculties, which make understanding comparatively easy. Exams: Before each semester one internal assessment takes place, of about 30/40 marks, and the semester exam is based on the remaining 70/60 marks. Exams can be stated moderate in terms of difficulty as per me.

Internships Opportunities

3

There are no specific companies but several companies hire students as interns with a reasonable amount of stipend. They offer several tasks related to their course of study and have a great impact on their future. It helps to learn as well as earn a little, and above all the most important is gathering of experiences.

Placement Experience

3

From the 9th Semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies visited: Amazon, L&T Infotech, Byju's, Epam, Ujjivan, GEP Worldwide, Zypus, and many others. Overall more than 20. Above 70% of the students get placements. I want to opt for corporate life after completing my course.

Fees and Financial Aid

It costs around Rs.12,53,000 all total for 5 years integrated BBA LL.B (my course and 2021-26 batch) for 10 semesters. Fees is to be given partly for each semester, either in one or more installments.

Campus Life

4.5

An annual fest takes place each year and students get chances to showcase their talents. Library of Amity University Kolkata(AUK) has more than 40,000 books overall. Classrooms are well cleaned and centrally air-conditioned. There are more than 18 clubs in AUK including Music Club, Photography Club, Cinematography Club, Yoga Club, Sports Club, Dance CLub, etc.

Placements are given. But not what students dreamed of. Everyone gets opportunity to sit on interview and get placed. To perform good in interview our university has included boot camps in our routine which helps in improving our interview skills. Students in their last year get offers for jobs from university but students are not getting job offers as they excepted.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen B.A.LLB(Hons.) because I want to have knowledge of law because laws form the basis of society. Moreover, I had an Arts Background therefore, it was a good combination for me to explore and go according to my desired path of career. The count of faculty members of IILS is an approximation of 20-30 teachers and the students each semester is near about 70-100. The teachers are truly well versed in their respective subjects and they're immensely knowledgeable and friendly, they try hard to make us understand in the easiest manner. But the only problem is that the faculties are not permanent, it keeps on changing. The term examinations were always on time except for the lockdown time but this was also managed smoothly within time. In order to know the difficulties I would share a fact and i.e., when I took admission in my Institute there was a total number of 140 students in my semester but no sooner than the first exam held half of them failed and now we're 70 of us.
