Remarks

The eligibility for the course involved the achievement of certain desired marks by the University of Delhi (which changes every year) for admission. The application form and other valuable information were all easily accessible through the University website. Reservation Benefits involved relaxation of a certain level of marks from the other categories of students. Overall, the whole process was very satisfactory.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Economics has always been my field of interest and fortunately enough, this institution undoubtedly provides one of the best kinds of education and learning. This grasped my utmost want in being a part of its student population. As much as the student-faculty ratio is concerned, there are 3-4 sections in each course which comprises around 50-60 students. A teacher is assigned to 2-3 classes every semester. The faculty is very friendly and satisfactory in providing guidance to their students. The classes are very interactive and interesting, even in online mode. Examinations are conducted timely and usually, the students do not face any difficulty as adequate instructions are provided beforehand.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship opportunities for the students of our college are very satisfactory. Any student of any year or semester is eligible for these opportunities. The Career Counselling, Placement, and Entrepreneurship Cell of the College, Saksham, deals with internships and similar sections. The stipend provided vary depending upon the internship and its duration. The field of interest amidst the students plays an important part in it too.

Placement Experience

4

Placement opportunities are very satisfactory in our college. Around 60-70% of the students who wish to avail such benefits get through the processes and secure feasible jobs. Usually, the students in their final year (preferably in the 6th semester of their graduation) are eligible for campus placements. The packages, at maximum, traverse between 6-7 lacs per annum depending on the respective field of the student. As per my further plans of mine are concerned, I wish to pursue higher studies (Master of Arts) after my graduation. I might even prepare and opt for the prestigious Civil Service Examinations.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure in our College is very student-friendly. For my course, it is around Rs 7500 per year. In view of scholarships and other financial assistance, the students avail different national and regional level aids. Scholarships on the level of family income and other criteria are also provided by the Institution to its students.

Campus Life

3.5

Unfortunately, we have not yet experienced the lavishness of enjoying college life offline due to the current disastrous situation of the pandemic. But as much as we have heard from our seniors, life out there offline is very fascinating and we are eagerly waiting to experience it ourselves. The following rating is based on the same which has been expressed here.

Placement Experience:

placement and internship fares are regularly conducted on campus where various companies which are mostly start-ups visit to recruit students for internships and entry level roles. Students become eligible for internships from the first year itself. placement opportunities are generally available after the completion of the full degree and only final year. Students are eligible to apply for full-time rules. last during our last internship and placement fair over 20 companies visited and recruited almost 150 candidates. There are no separate records distinguishing internship from placement. The highest package reported for economics honours is around 12 lakhs per annum and the average package is approximately five lakhs per annum. As per my future plans,I intend to pursue a masters degree after completing my undergraduate course.

For USME, FMCG and Financial companies are the ones which are put in place. The only reason is that those are the companies where we can add value and placements of both courses of USME happens together and combined if I say around 75% students are placed. My plan though is to join GIPE after my graduation ends this year.
