Remarks

To be honest, I had made many contacts with people in the fashion industry during my trainee ship programme only! I already had a job offer in my hand even before I had finished my course.

Entrance Preview

I took Karnataka entrance test n I got 23897 rank. it was near to my place n college reputation was good, so that's why i took this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The entrance test for admission is very easy. You just have to score well in you graduation and have good communications skills to get selected in the Group discussion. After which the final round of interview takes place. Also there is a process of counselling after the selection.

Internships Opportunities

Internship involves an exposure of the corporate world. The college provides a 2-3 months internship that is conducted by various companies who recruit interns and train them to be corporate ready.

Average placements as the companies that come to the campus do not offer much as a package to the students. They have a minimum selection criteria due to which many students remain unplaced. Thats it The format for the admission into this course is to clear the entrance exam first

College Events

The workshops, industry visits, events, etc., are also helpful for those who want to gain hands-on experience in their chosen field. Events that take place in the college are Freshers' party, farewell, Ethnic Day and the college Fest, which is the biggest event of the year as we host a bunch of activities related to the world of fashion and there are other activities like Investomania.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees for the course is 40,000 per year. It is very less as compared to other colleges even when the infrastructure is so good and they maintain their legacy.

Fees and Financial Aid

LOAN/ SCHOLARSHIP PROVISIONS. Scholarships are provided to students with X factor. They are provided a relaxation from the registration amount Scholarship has to be given to students with extra meritorious skill. There is a test conducted for the same and those students who clear the test with high numbers are given a relaxation of a certain amount.

Campus Life

The course stood up to my expectations. The training was very practical and we were given a lot of experience in regards to real-work problem.we made friends and every day was a learning experience with them. I am thankful to my mentors who guided me through the course.

Hostel Facilities

Provides student a luxurious hostel which has spacious rooms and you can take up a room or share it with someone. The charges are nominal and the stay is like we are staying at a hotel, food is mesmerizing.

Alumni/Alumna

The Alumni of GMIT is placed at such good companies, they come to the campus to deliver lectures on current issues as well as the related topics.

Exam Structure

Exams are fun. We have to appear for the exams after submitting the assignments, live projects with our groups, and some other conceptual tasks. Students are eligible for placements usually from 7 or 8th semester and many tech companies and core companies visit such as amazon,tcs,ibm, microsoft,google,amd etc The average package for my course is 6.5lpa and almost 90% of the students get placed I haven't decided on what to do after getting my degree

Placement Experience:

They fake a lot of their placements....now the bangalore campus currently has 40%placements but they fake the placement rates to make it look like its 80 or 90% which is sad...i heard that if u have really bad marks and couldnt get placed(a lot of ece and eee people, cause they will purposefully try to fail u so that u can apply for the couse again) they will make u sign a document were u agree u never sat for placements.
