Remarks

Eligibility that was mentioned in the College Website was 60 % and above in HS and class 10 Examination, but receiving about 90% marks is what is expected from Lady Brabourne. If you are in the category of 90%, you are more likely to get admission. You can find all the details on Lady Brabourne College's official website, about when they are going to take admission and about the criteria. Reservation benefits are obviously there, if you are belonging to SC, ST or OBC, you can get admission in those quotas.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose my Course Geography Bsc Honours here in this college because of the good and Experienced Faculty that Lady Brabourne offers. Students are also large in number. Qualification of the Teaching Faculty is brilliant. The majority have done PhD and one of them even passed from IIT. They use methods of offline and also online teaching, with advanced software and board work. Exams were termly, but sometimes they announced the commencement of exams much later, but yeah, here the achievement of the immense quantity of marks is quite difficult.

Placement Experience

4

From the end of the semesters, students become eligible for placements. One Company visited during my tenure, was Infosys. The highest Package offered was 2 lakhs per annum. My plans after getting the degree are that I will pursue my Master degree and then I will sit for the Competitive Exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

About 2000-3000 INR fees are charged for each semester. We have a total of 6 semesters. It is wholly a Government Organisation, fees are relatively less. Scholarships like Swami Vivekananda Scholarship and Kanyashree are given here. I was offered a job by Infosys here, but couldn't give the exam due to personal issues, so I didn't get any stipend.

Campus Life

3.5

The Fest is generally conducted around February, though at times it is conducted in mid of the year also. Artists come to attend those fests. Books are available plenty in an amount in the Library. It is accessible and open to all. The Library is quite large. Classrooms are moderately spaced, with good air, and the environment around the college is very soothing with trees here and there. Sports Competitions are conducted every year, with prizes available for the First, Second and Third Positions. Groups are here run by the Students, but there is no Political Influence here.

The mathematics honours curriculum influence my decision to choose these course because of its strong emphasis on core subjects like calculus algebra and analysis which build solid theoretical foundation and logical thinking skills. The course prepared students will for higher studies and comparative exams by focusing on conceptual clarity proves and problem solving some topics also offer practical relevance in field suggest statistics data analysis and applied sciences. Curriculum can be improved by including more application oriented subjects computational tools an interactive teaching method such as problem solving sessions and project based learning

Cirrculam is more theoritical just. There is negligible practical life lessons. Just like normal college, u study just to get degree. The whole cirriculam should be improved. Examination is held only once - midsems, endsems thats all.

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

I currently in 2nd year, so I don't have much idea about placements that college offers. But have a brief idea on the besis of the seniors. My collage provides internships, and the average package is also good. From the sixth semester one can become eligible for internships. My plan is to study further, Msc and PhD.
