Course Curriculum Overview
The reason I chose this course is because I have loved the subject of geography since childhood.And I thought I would major in geography when I grew up.I learned a lot from this course, such as about our geography.Because of which my general knowledge has improved a lot.
Fees and Financial Aid
I joined this course in 2021. In the first year, I got admitted by paying Rs. 5000. Before each semester, Rs. 2000 was taken. During the puja, a separate amount was taken for the remaining social work. Since I am from the general caste, the amount was a little too much.But those who were SC ST had to pay a lower amount.We had a scholarship called Vivekananda Scholarship which some of my classmates got. They were SC. And they got 60 percent marks in their higher secondary.
Campus Life
The best thing about our college was that we had our own gym, our own NCC, and our own sports team, with the help of which we participated in the district meet every year. Which included running games etc.Our college also had its own library from which we could borrow books.Our geography classroom had a separate light tracing system.
Admission
A big reason behind choosing this college is that all my friends got admitted to this college.I didn't get rejected from any college. My name came up in all the colleges, but I got admitted to this one because it was nearby.This college charged a little less and I graduated from this college.
Faculty
We were only 6 in our BSc General course. Out of that, there were 20 to 25 of us in Geography class and 52 of us in Political Science class. In Economics alone, we were five of us used to sit together.Among our courses, we liked Anuradha Ma'am and Jyoti Sir the most.I didn't feel bad for any of the sirs or ma'ams who were doing this to us because everyone was very helpful.Two out of the six of us left the course. Then there were four of us Three of the four of us got our supplies. But in the end, they completed all the courses and we graduated together.
Night Life
Everyone could come to the library and gym and borrow books and other facilities according to the rules. Our college was under Calcutta University, so it wasn't much of a problem for us to set up facilities.
