GOOD FOR STUDIES,VERY BAD FOR FACILITIES AND COLLEGE LIFE.

My admission was through the EAMCET based counselling and i got admitted into this college in third counselling,in my first counselling i got SVCET but i tried for this college(YSR Engineering college of YVU) in third counselling because it is a govt. university and also less fees for students who don't get scholarship(no fees for those who get scholarship). I belong to BC-D category and i availed reservation quota to get my admission. Admission into this college(YSR Engineering college of YVU) is based on merit,that is based on EAMCET ranks.

After my +12 was over,i was left to choose engineering or degree only because of my less exposure to other streams,i choose engineering thinking of that i can go for software job or any of most of the other jobs which degree students can go for. As some of the faculty can teach more that 1 subject and our HOD(head of the department) teached 5 subjects,the ratio is like this FACULTY 21:160 STUDENT

First year fees is around Rs.15,000, and from second year fees hike will be 1 to 2 thousand per year starting from 11000 from second year,so 2nd year fees is around Rs.11,000,third year fees is Rs.12000,final year fees is around Rs.13,000. YES,you will get scholarship if you are eligible, i.e having rationcard will be a eligibility for scholarship,and also other scholarships of state gov. will also available if a person is eligible to that particular scheme. If you are pursuing PHd in this college and then you will get stipend

Very few fests will be conducted,like college day(in november),farewell party(around february to march) and independence day,republic day. Good amount of general books will be available in the college library but the library room is very dark and full of mosquitos. Class room amentities are not very good in the old building,but new building was built and opened last year which is pretty good with required amenities. Sportswill be conducted and winners will be awarded with prizes on college day. Some Sportsa and games include cricket,throw ball,kho-kho,volley ball,foot ball,kabaddi,carroms,running. Each branch has their own club for all years of students of that branch(1st-4th year) participating.Ours is MESA.

Hostels are provided for 1st years only in case of boys because of building is not enough for all the students,but for girls hostel facilities are provided for all the students from 1st year to 4th year. Meal is good,two times chicken is provided in a week,and egg once in a week.vegetarian students can choose sweets on the day non veg is being served. I stayed in hostel for 1st year and then i have to vacate to give way for new first year students,then i rented a room in YMR Colony for 3500 for 3 persons.
