Remarks

I applied in a total of 3 colleges for the same course and I got selected in all of them but as Kakojan College is nearby our house so I took the admission there. At our college, in my course, the admission is based completely on merit basis. The subject percentage of HS is counted to publish the merit list. And yes quota is available. The students who are interested should try to obtain a good score in chemistry in HS exam. Last year the seating capacity was 30 but this year it is extended to 50.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

We have total 6 semester . During every semester 2 sessional exams are conducted by respective departments and the terminal exam i.e the final semester exam is conducted by Dibrugarh University . The exam level is almost moderate . If one's read thoroughly the whole syllabus it won't be that difficult .

Fees and Financial Aid

One may apply for a UGC scholarship if eligible. Well, there may not be any campus placement but after persuing the course one can do higher studies i.e M.Sc and then do a PhD. Also if anyone wants to become a teacher in future he/she can join the B.ed course. And there are numerous industrial fields where the demand of a chemistry student can not be neglected.

Campus Life

3.5

There are many books available in the library which can be helpful for the course. One can also collect the previous year's question papers from the library .Apart from the course related books one can also collect magazines and novels from it. And yes different sports and events are organised from time to time in the college campus like annual sports, various competitions, etc, and students are supposed to represent their departments .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was a Science student, but I almost failed in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths in my Higher Secondary Final Exam. I had a keen interest in life science. So I selected Zoology and Botany as my Major and Minor Subjects. I love Animals and plants and always wanted to learn much more about them. So, I chose this subject and I scored almost 9 CGPA in 1st year. That boosted my confidence and I just can't wait to explore this world of Zoology and Botany more. After choosing these subjects we got to do many field studies. There are 3 main exams in each semester - 2 sessional and 1 final. The difficulty level is based on how you've prepared yourself for the exam.
