Remarks

SPCE, VJTI both required JEE main percentile for admission in 2015. Since these are one of the top colleges, the cutoff is pretty high but depends on the branch you have opted for. The admission process includes applying for the process and providing options for colleges you may like to get in, followed by allotment of college and then confirmation of admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The faculty-student ratio may be 1:15, All the faculties are Ph.D. holders from top institutes in India and are excellent in their subjects. Engineering is more of self-study than spoon-feeding, so one has to put in extra efforts to score well in addition to attending the classes. A good score is necessary for getting shortlisting into placement.

Placement Experience

2.5

The placements are decent. Not everyone opts for it there is a mix of students who go for higher education, a family business or apply for placements. A good academic score is required to get shortlisted.

Fees and Financial Aid

It is a government-aided autonomous institute. Hence, the fee depends on the government regulations and advisory. Caste-based scholarships can be availed. Separate scholarship by the college is not provided.

Campus Life

3.5

The annual cultural fest is SPACE. The events conducted are singing, drama, flash mobs, etc. The Annual Technical fest is SPECTRA. The events conducted are Robo-wars, Town planning, etc. The library is well equipped with all necessary books in sufficient quantity.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel facility is decent, not fancy. It's a government hostel. It is 400 mts away from the college building. The mess food is decent too. It's is near to the hostel accommodation. The hostel has limited seats for each branch and each year and is allocated on basis of merit and caste quota.

Placement Experience:

Right from the beginning 3rd year, we start having sessions on what to do for placements and what the companies expect out of us, etc. And as a month or two passes, the process starts and the companies keep coming till the end of the final year for placements. Companies that visited us: Citibank, Publicis Sapient, MG Motors, Cisco, Deutsch Bank, Palo Alto, Intuit, and many more big names. The highest package we got at our time was 24 lpa in Cisco and average would be around 8-9 lpa. We got various positions like software developer, bussiness analyst, data analyst, etc. Around 90% students got placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Overall Rating: I would rate the curriculum highly for its comprehensive balance between core computer science principles and essential hardware engineering. The B.Tech CSE(2025) syllabus offers a unique bridge between low-level hardware control and high-level software development. Courses like Basic electrical and Electronics engineering introduces with electronic domain. This syllabus combines both hardware and software in a perfect blende.

1. From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. 2. Companies like Oracle, Texas Instruments and many more visit here. I'm not sure whether Google visited here or not but Google visited here for Internship and one student got selected. 3. Last year's highest package was 57 lpa CTC from cse and talking about average packages then cse-19.71, it-17.38, extc(entc)-11.13, electronics-11.17, electrical-10.43, mechanical-9, civil-6.87, production-7.28, textile-8.28. 4. Percentage of students getting placed are cse-93%, it-95%, extc(entc)-82%, electronics-84%, electrical-95%, mechanical-97%, civil-92%, production-70%, textile-72%. 5. Since I'm in second semester I haven't decided anything. Most probably I will persue higher education.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually i have decided to only go for computer science but as my entrance exam score was not that much good. So i decided to go for ai&ds branch as it have much scope than cse. Ai&ds syllabus is very much similar to cse branch so not that much difference. Some practical practice need to be improved in place of learning theory.

After semester 6 Placement preparation starts but in breaks, students can avail of various internships. This year 100 % of placement was from the electrical branch while a mechanical student secured the highest package of 26-27lpa. Students here are also on in govt. Exams prep and GATE and GRE many students are also studying for Masters abroad. So post-campus life is somewhat stable. I have planned to pursue a master' after my bachelor's.
