What Students Say
Likes
- Since it is a girls college, we get to organise every single event which makes us familiar with every kind of situations
- The teachers are very helpful and are always ready to help however and whenever needed
- The support of the placement cell, gives a little boost to our placements as well. They try their best for every student to get a job
Dislikes
- I believe, the infrastructure could be a little better with more daily life amenities since the college is situated in a little outer end of the city.
- Till the time when we were there, the college wasn’t too much developed so we couldn’t get a lot of exposure to the actual industries, etc but still they did their best to get what we could
Course Curriculum Overview
In my perspective, the curriculum was not up to the mark of what is expected out of us after college. But since the complete syllabus has changed, it has become a lot more inline with the current ask and would definitely help after college. Being a software developer myself, I think the course should include programming languages and relevant tech stacks much more for computer engineering students as we initially lack in those things. The frequency and timing of the exams is very apt and as required with medium difficulty for some parts while easily solvable for others
Placement Experience
Right from the beginning 3rd year, we start having sessions on what to do for placements and what the companies expect out of us, etc. And as a month or two passes, the process starts and the companies keep coming till the end of the final year for placements. Companies that visited us: Citibank, Publicis Sapient, MG Motors, Cisco, Deutsch Bank, Palo Alto, Intuit, and many more big names. The highest package we got at our time was 24 lpa in Cisco and average would be around 8-9 lpa. We got various positions like software developer, bussiness analyst, data analyst, etc. Around 90% students got placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure includes around 1,20,000 for the first year which keeps on decreasing a little around 5000-10000 every year. There are multiple scholarship options like Cummins scholarship being the biggest one which provides one year fees
Campus Life
We had a lot of social engagements done We have one main event called "ANANYA" which has all kinds of events: cultural, sports, technical, involving all the students as well as the teaching and non-teaching staff. Other than that we keep having sports event like during Janmashtami, we have matki phod and during navratri we have garba night called "UMANG", etc. We had all the committees for these who would help organise everything for these events and handle all the stuff
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are good. One room is shared among 3 girls which makes it a little lesser space but is still manageable and feels good vibes. I would say the meals given in the mess are not very good. Though some of them were too good. Registration is quite easy as the warden helps with it and the fees is around 36000 which is quite affordable.
Admission
For admission in this college, we need a JEE score, and a good percentage in class 10th and 12th boards. I got into this college since the number of students wasn't very high which would give time for us and teachers to interact with each other and also have a competitive environment at the same time.
Faculty
The faculties are way too supportive in every aspect be it academics or personal and we felt like we could reach out to them anytime when needed. We have final exams for every semesters and 2 tests in between the semesters. At that time, the course curriculum was not as relevant as we needed but now it has changed and is a lot better than what we had before.
Night Life
As I mentioned, the college is in a little outer range of the city, hence, it does not have any night life thereby near the college which is actually for the hostel students. Also, the students are not allowed to be out of the premises after 7 pm. There are many places to roam around in Nagpur including temples, cafés, etc. However, it is safe to roam around inside the premises at night
