UEM Kolkata College Review

I have only applied for UEM, Kolkata. On the day of admission, they first told us about their college, course, and show us their classroom, laboratories, game room, and all other things. Requirement on admission day is your marks sheet of 10th and 12th standard, scorecard of jee main, WBJEE, or IEMJEE. Minimum marks are required 70 percentage in 10th and 12th standard.

I choose Electrical Engineering because that where is my interest is. There are many courses such as CSE, CSIT, ME, ECE, EE, BT and all. There can be change course in next year. The faculty members are really good and have an average experience of 20 years. They help whenever you need them without any complaint. Some of our Faculty members are from renowned colleges such as Jadavpur, IIT. The teaching method is really good. They are updated to the latest equipment which helps in our practical work. There are also Industrial training or at least visit in industries. There are more curriculum activities such as Quizmaster, sport such as chess, table tennis, cricket. Their clubs for public speaking dance, singing or debating. There is 3 exam in one semester which includes 2 midterm exam and 1 semester exam. The semester exam paper is standard.

In your final Years, you will do projects related to anything which will be published nationally and it is really top-notch then they will publish in an international paper. You can also go in the entrepreneurship and they will help financial and also publish it if it works well in testing .you get internships from Berger, HCL, Indian Oil, Paytm.

The placement cell of Uem Kolkata has constant strives to strengthens the industrial relationship. Some renowned companies are TCS, Wipro, Byjus, Infosys, Amazon,42 hertz. The highest package is 40 LPA and the average package is 4.2LPA. 526 students have got 1 job offer, 86 students got 2 jobs to offer,13 students, got 3 jobs to offer, 4 students got 4 job offers and 2 students got 5 job offers. 761 jobs offers are generated.86% students got jobs offers.

In the first semester on B.Tech, they take 85lakh, and from the next onward on each semester fees are 65 lakhs. On every semester exam, they take charge of 1000. There are scholarships of 100% if u get more than 95% in both 10th and 12th standard and also in IEMJEE and 75% scholarship if u get 90% or above in it both 10th and 12th standard and IEMJEE. Now campusing hasn't started so I have no job offer. I have got an internship in Cybersecurity from college. In our previous batch, 86% got job offers and many have got multiple job offers.

Campus life is good there are no ragging in college and our college host many fests during each semester. Our library is open 365x24x7 hrs for reading books and study. You can also take books for a period of time to study. Our laboratories and classroom are up to date which really helps us in our practicals. It has a game room which includes all types of indoor games such as carrom, Table tennis, chess, basketball and outdoor games such as cricket. There are also some karate programs for girl safety. They also have a Quiz club, debating club, dancing cub.
