Remarks

I am a student of BCA batch 2018. It's an option to go for it but if you have a better option for college or your budget is more you can go for vetter colleges. We got a library and also nice faculty. We also have a lab. For getting admission in BCA you must have maths in your intermediate with 60%.

Course Curriculum Overview

Nice faculty, there is a lot of faculty by my count it's about 10-12 faculty in BCA and the Students to faculty ratio may be about 1:6. All faculty have nice qualifications. Due to Covid, many exams got cancelled.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 40000 per year

Internships Opportunities

You have to manually apply for internships because college dont get us internship programs for us. You have to make your project for the final semester which also gets you marks for your examination. There are various companies in the city you can go to for an internship.

Placement Experience

Placements are not upto the mark very few companies get for campus placements and even those are not the best companies and the package is very few. You may have to go for higher education. But you fab try for campus placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are less as compared to other colleges it's affordable. You can also get scholarships from government services like Ekalyan and the national scholarship program. You can also do part-time jobs as you get spare time.

Campus Life

You will enjoy your college life alot on this campus. Campur is a bit small. You can join various clubs like NSS, NCC, and many more according to your desire. The classroom is also digital as there are Projectors and Computers.

Placement Experience:

From 9 th semester onwards students of our branch become eligible for campus placements. Companies like VISA, Microsoft come there with lucrative offers. The highest and avarge package are quite impressive. The highest package is nearly 50 lakhs while the average is nearly 12 lakhs. Nearly 50-60 percent of students get placed with some getting multiple offers. After getting degree I am planning to secure a good job through campus placements.

"Not the best, But Not the Worst Either"

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college was good before COVID but after covid not that much good. In my batch out of 150 students only 2 student got their placement. Since we are in 5th semester so we are hoping to get more placement opportunities from various companies. The top companies who visit out campus are: 1. Infosys 2. LIC Private Ltd. 3. Tata Consultancy Ltd. 4. Accenture India 5. HCL and many more are yet to come.

I don't think that we can get placement from this college. And if students are practicing by their own they can get off campus palcement after 2nd year . 40% of students only get placement or less than that . After getting BCA degree I would like to go for MCA

A good college for a student who is from not so good background.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is offered to students who are in their final year. Capable students can easily crack the placement. A decent package is provided of an average of 2-3 lakhs per annum. The highest package offered is about 7LPA. Many different companies visit the college during the placement period offering a good package. Companies like Infosys, cognizant, Wipro, puma, ceat, Flipkart, etc visit the college for placement. At least 70-78% of students get placed and a rapid improvement is seen in the placement graph of the college.

Placements are really good for my department. From Semester 4 th you all are ready to get placed as company visits in an even semester. The companies visited are DeloitteUsi, Capgemini, Tcs, Wipro, EY, and Byjus many more...you just need to be attentive. The highest package till now is 10 lpa and the average is 3 lpa And there are placement coordinators who help you in guidance. Almost 75 to 80 percent gets placed with low to average packages.

Life at karim city college jamshedpur

Actually I applied only for this college because it is nearer from my home and actually this college is quite famous in my hometown and i didn't apply in another college because this is kolhan university and the education is good in this college. Karim City College. An Affordable Option for Mass Comm Aspirants

The most important factor was the affordability compared to other colleges including within-state colleges as well as Inter-State colleges. Also, the Faculty was very inclusive as I took last-minute admissions and they were happy to take me in. The admission process was fairly easy they took the mandatory marksheets of Std 10th and 12th also the Aadhar Card and Parental Details and the fees were paid in Cash. Later after the payments I was provided with the prospectus and Other Information.
