Remarks

College Management was good there were no bad comments about the college management.

Entrance Preview

I got admission through common entrance test and this college was one of the best around my place so I choose to do my engineering in this institute.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

This college is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University so the course syllabus is as given by this universities all over the Karnataka. The course as four years total of eight semesters from the second year we got to learn the core aspects of our mechanical engineering branch.

Internships Opportunities

No in particular college did not provide any internship but they provide opportunities for the students to apply for other companies to get internship and also they conducted many workshops like manual robots and all for students to get in depth in knowledge about the core aspects.

Placement Experience

2.5

Oustanding placement record in the year 2016 total of 228 offers for the students of all branches and nearly 56 companies conducted the placement drive in GM institute of technology Current Year Students Placements - 2016 Batch.

College Events

2.5

Every year technical event was organised named delta it was a great platform for the students to exhibit there technical knowledge and learn new things by participating in that event and also cultural event called Mallika. It was a great platform for students to exhibit their cultural Talent and have a great memories.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is feasible we have to pay the amount prescribed by the Karnataka examination authority that is forty one thousand when I got admission and yearly I had to pay the same amount that is forty one thousand rupees and thousand rupees for a year towards the examination fee conducted by vtu.

Fees and Financial Aid

Their were no scholarship facilities provided by GM institute of technology but they provided opportunities for students to apply for other scholarship programs provided by government and also they helped loan from other private banks.

Campus Life

2.5

We enjoy all other time in our college except the weeks in which exams are held and we seriously do. Staying away from guardians does provide a lot of freedom. Hanging out with friends in the campus, sleeping in class, giving proxies, mass bunks, taking computer games seriously, in fact very seriously, watching movies throughout the day, waking up at noon, we even started watching soap operas, life here is completely different here we proudly say that we have not taken a bath for 7 or 10 days and the best part is students who have led a disciplined life throughout now begin feeling ashamed. I don’t know what we are doing is right or not but we are loving it.

Hostel Facilities

3

Yes It is said that home is sweet. But even then life at home, cannot be compared to the life in a hostel. At home one has to live as other members of the family live. One cannot even frame one’s own timetable of studies. One has to keep in mind the convenience of others. One has to study while others keep on talking and gossiping. Often one room, one kerosen lantern or lamp is used jointly by two or three brothers and sisters. If some relative or guest comes in, the whole programme of studies is upset. In fact, at home there is no atmosphere for serious studies. There is constant disturbance due to one reason or the other.

Alumni/Alumna

Our alumni association is an immense network of professional contacts all with whom you already have one thing in common need to get a foot in the door for your next job, or curious if an organization that’s pursuing you is the right fit use your online alumni directory to connect with people who could be great resources for informational interviews or introductions. You should also attend events and join professional groups to build relationships over the long-term.

Exam Structure

Examination structure was good and we had internals every month and labs were conducted during study holidays. Visvesvaraya Technological University accomplished its primary task of setting a common syllabus across the state in 1998. The university revises the syllabus every four years keeping in view the technology upgrades around the world. The syllabus was revised in 2002, 2006 and 2010. In 2012, VTU announced that it would launch a 'first-of-its-kind' elective targeting railway stand metro technology as part of the civil, electrical and mechanical engineering courses.

Admission

When the rankings of common entrance exam came out the option entry started to select the respected college. I opted this college and got selected in fourth round of option entry and I had to pay the prescribed amount by the Karnataka examination board.

Faculty

2.5

Most of the college faculty members are PhD holders in their respective subjects so we got to learn lot from them their teaching methodology was awesome they taught students to learn new things and they always encouraged them and their teaching standard was best compared to others colleges.

They fake a lot of their placements....now the bangalore campus currently has 40%placements but they fake the placement rates to make it look like its 80 or 90% which is sad...i heard that if u have really bad marks and couldnt get placed(a lot of ece and eee people, cause they will purposefully try to fail u so that u can apply for the couse again) they will make u sign a document were u agree u never sat for placements.
