College Life in [PIMSR], Pune

For admission to this college, the student is required to score a minimum of 50% marks in, both, the entrance exam and graduation degree. The administration is very helpful and cooperative during the entire admission process.

The faculty is qualified and experienced in both corporate and teaching. They are very supportive and approachable. Each faculty is given a set of students to mentor and the faculty is always available for their mentees. Apart from that, the term exams are held on time as per the University guidelines. The course curriculum covers all the relevant topics as mentioned in the University syllabus and the exam paper is set in line with the curriculum. The course curriculum not only provides theoretical knowledge but also gives practical guidance which is super helpful.

There are a lot of companies that visit our college for internships. The companies hire twice. Once for summer internship which is from May to June (2months). Second for winter internship which usually starts after the 3rd semester for 1 month. Internships are usually very insightful as it gives us the first glimpse of the corporate world. The internships are usually without a stipend.

After the 2nd semester, students start their summer internship. The internships are mostly without stipends. Some companies who hire for internships, offer PPO as well. After the 3rd semester, students start preparing for their final placements. The highest package offered in our batch was of 10Lac p.a. offered by Byju's. But an average of 3Lac - 3.5Lac per annum package is being offered (mostly due to the pandemic).

The fee structure is as per the University guidelines. The students are allowed to submit their fees in 2 or 3 installments of a minimum of Rs. 50,000 each. The on-campus internships are usually without a stipend. But on-campus jobs are available with a good and fair stipend.

There are a lot of events that are organized during the entire course. There are the main events like the college fest Alegria and the Fresher's Day, Farewell Party, Cultural Day and Sports Day. Apart from that, there are several seminars, webinars, club events, Alumni meets, and competitions that are hosted where real corporate leaders are invited to guide the students. The students are given the opportunity to participate and expand their skill set. The campus is big enough to explore and small enough to not get lost. The library of the college is open for the students to sit and read before and after college hours as well. There are various clubs or committees which students can join, like HR Club, Finance Club, Literature Club, Corporate Relations Committee, Social Service Committee, etc.
