Remarks

I always want to take admission in Delhi University. But to be honest I wanted a north campus college and as per my best four percentage I wasn't able to get admission in any of north campus college. Firstly I took admission in Lakshmi bai college than in the fifth cut off I got my KAMALA NEHRU COLLEGE. I wasn't satisfied with my college. And for 1 year I was wondering I am somewhere stuck in this college. However I saw feats and extracurricular activities of my college and took part in it. Now I think it's not that bad. Now I'm happy here.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

First of all, I'm a commerce student. I like studying commerce as a subject and wanted to acquire more knowledge in this stream. That's why I choose this course. I'll rate my college faculty 8 out of 10 as teaching is completely online and the method of teaching is not up to the mark. We face problems. Since some teachers are not good and it's difficult to study on our own. But if the student is serious about studies then he/she can pass the semesters with a good score.

Internships Opportunities

I did three internships in my 2nd year. 1. Graphic designing at the misfit proseHere I had to create posters for recruitment which used to posted on social media 2. Equity research trannie at the investmentHere I promoted there startup in our profiles. And there was a live project on analysing different types of equity. 3. HR associate at houseitt. Here I learnt a lot about speaking confidently, maintaining data, mail merging etc. All were unpaid.

Placement Experience

3.5

In 5th semester we are eligible for placement. Companies like byjus, Wipro, Deloitte etc come for recruitment. Highest package is around 7 to 8 lacs pa and the average is 4 lacs20% of students get placed in college placements. I want to get placed on college recruitment.

College Events

It's quite good. But I didn't attend any of the feats in my college due to pandemic. But I heard fest's of our college is too good and held at the beginning of March. I attended orientation, freshers and society fests and they were awesome. Librarians are so helping in my college. They never charged late fines. They hardly try to make you understand and the fine amount is also like 2 to 3 rupees per day. Every Wednesdays college sports group organises cricket game in break time and it is really fun to see them playing.I can find books from my need. There are lots of societies run by students of college-like girlup ikhtiyar, awaken the consumer club, vishalakshi foundation etc.

Campus Life

5

I'm not a sports kind of person but I saw students playing different games in sports courts. So I think there's a good sports facilities. We are not allowed to use the wifi of the college and also there's no network in college. Size of the library is big. And there's a lot of space. About practical labs, we use to go to the computer labs for our practical subjects and there are 3 computer labs with 25 to 30 systems available in each of the labs at a time.

Hostel Facilities

3

I used to live in PG in Shakti Nagar, North Delhi. The menu was fine but the food quality was not so good. Sometimes it's uneatable. My PG owner took 2 months of rent as security money. Size of room was up to the mark and there's no problem in PG except the quality of food they provide.

Placement Experience:

Our college has a very active and effective placement cell. Major companies like Goldman Sachs, Bain among many others come on campus for not just placements but also internships. Average and Median packages are between 8 and 10 lakh per annum, with highest packages going up to 25 lakhs. Many also go for postgraduate education, such as MBA after CAT, or to reputed colleges like the DSE for MA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is just like any other college, and you need to do a lot of the skill enhancement by yourself. Here, you will learn something, but not everything that is relevant. The professors will teach according to the syllabus, be it really relevant in real life or not. Everything that you will be learning will be relevant for career in this field, but not enough. You require to put some extra efforts to gain more knowledge and practice.

Placement Experience:

Students typically become eligible from 3rd year/6th semester onwards for most companies. Some internships and tech roles may be available to 2nd-year students depending on the company criteria. Placement Percentage: Usually, 70–85% of eligible students get placed, depending on the stream. Highest placement rates are often in Computer Science, Economics, and Commerce streams. My plan is to become a software engineer.
