My experience till now at Bhawanipur education society, Kolkata.

I chose this college above any other college because this is one of the best colleges of Calcutta university. And since, I'm pursuing CA course along with my BCOM Hons, the attendance criteria out here is quite lenient which will help me to focus on my CA course in a better way. The merits of this college are - 1) the attendance criteria out here is quite lenient 2) these teachers here are very helpful and supportive when it comes to doubt solving. 3) this college provides us with various co-curricular activities like sports and etc. 4) the campus placement opportunities are very high at this college. The demerits of this college are - 1) this college doesn't provide us with the societies which in turn fails at providing us the exposure needed. 2) the merit-based section division is quite a turn-off as it creates a gap between the academically good students and the average ones.

Initially, like any other students from a commerce background, I was also interested in doing BCOM Hons ( accounts and finance ) but gradually I developed my interest in charted accountancy course as I came to know about it, during my 11th class. And this college was the best amongst all other alternatives for students like me, who want to pursue their charted accountancy course along with BCOM Hons ( or any such course ). The faculty at Bhawanipur education society, Kolkata is quite impressive as they're all really really supportive and helpful when it comes to helping the students. Also, they're highly qualified and are the best mentors to guide their students. We had our first semester exams online, in the month of March ( mid march ) and it was quite easy for students to pass as the teachers taught us all the concepts beforehand.

The campus placement opportunities are very high at Bhawanipur education society college. The percentage of placement is quite high out there i.e. 60% - 70% .The highest package offered last year was 10 LPAA. Internships are also available easily while doing any course. The massive companies like Amazon for finance and marketing posts, and companies like KPMG, Ernest and Young, ITC also came for recruitment for different posts, which is very nice.

The fees for BCOM Hons ( accounts and finance ) course is quite nominal and affordable. It is 47,500 for a year which comes to ( 47500 - 3 ) = 142500 for the whole course. In spite of the fees, the college doesn't charge any extra amount from its students against the extra services they provide their students with. Along with studies, the extra services provided included the Library services, sports related services and many more. The bhawanipur education society campus provides really good placements for their students which is a plus point for sure.

The annual fest conducted at Bhawanipur education society, Kolkata is one of the best annual fest out there in Kolkata. The name of the annual fest at Kolkata is "UMANG" . Many Bollywood and other celebrities attend the college fest and other programs organized by them, which is yet another very tempting factor. The library of this college is exceptionally very mesmerising and tempting at the same time. The infrastructure is really good out there and it's so peaceful, which creates a really positive atmosphere for students to study. The another really attractive thing about this college is its sports complex, which is really huge and contains both indoor and outdoor games.
