UEMK college review by me

It is hard to believe but till now I have not found any bad aspect in my college. Everything is made up to the mark from academics to cultural fest to sports everything is done with perfection. The best thing I like is the friendliness of the teachers towards the students and helping them in every aspect. Even our college is established in the year 2015 and within these 5 years of timespan, it has become the third best university in West Bengal. The admission process starts from the month of July and continues till the end of the month. You can take admission through your JEE Main result or WBJEE or by giving the university exam IEMJEE. This college really puts in the effort behind their students for a better future. Even a mediocre student becomes capable of doing something extraordinary just because of the teachers and his or her career will be surely settled. The Electrical Engineering course has many scopes for getting government jobs and my target is that. Besides that from my childhood, I have an interest in this topic and used to make many circuits when I gradually started to explore this topic. Even in 1st year there was an electrical project competition I my college and my group were the 2nd runners up which made me fall for this subject more and I really find it interesting especially the practical use. Faculties are divided accordingly with respect to the number of students in each stream. There is more number of teachers in Computer Science department compared to Electrical and many other streams because of the number of students. So they are distributed evenly at almost 50:50. Faculties have their M.Tech degree or Ph.D. degree so they have good knowledge of their subjects and the way they teach is so simple even a school student will understand easily. There are two-term exams held per semester and easy to pass if you go through what is taught.

Different companies start visiting from the starting of the 7th semester for placement and recruiting students for their companies. The job offer to date is always greater than the total number of students in each year. The highest number of job offers by a student is 5 till now and every year this happens but a maximum of them get 1 to 2 job offers every year. Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Cognizant, and many other MNCs hire students every year. The highest package got by a student recorded this year is 72 lakhs per annum and the average package is 5 lakhs per annum. As there are more job offers than the total number of students so there is no question of any student not getting the job. The percentage is full 100% for placement. I am targeting for government job after getting my degree or I may pursue on campus or off campus job recruitment.

The total package for a B.Tech student is Rs 5,36,200. Per semester amount of 65,000 is taken and during admission, you need to pay 81,200 which includes the 1st-semester fees. Besides that to sit for the semester exam you need to pay an amount of 1000. If you have board marks above 85% which includes Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry then you will get a scholarship and those who have above 90% they get more scholarship compared to the other.

There is tech-based fest like the Smart Maker's Festival, Hackathon, Robotics, and many more. Even many kinds of workshops is also organized which are quite productive. So here every month is a tech fest. The annual fest includes one fest that is Edu Fest which we are always excited about held once in a year in the month of February. The library does not compromise in keeping books on every topic you need. Even if there is no hardcopy available there is always a softcopy of each and every subject. So the library will not disappoint on any aspect as if you can avail it any time because it is open for all time 24 hours everyday. Each classroom can hold students over 100. Classrooms have a microphone for the teachers so that no one has a problem listening and a projector is provided. Annual sports day takes place in the month of February and a stadium is booked for this sports day. There are many events to participate in. Students look after clubs like sports clubs, drawing clubs and many more.
