Remarks

Cotton university previously known as Cotton College, and recently it was upgraded to University. It is the first college of Assam. And i must say it is the best college of assam and these are the causes that i choosing this university.

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus of political science in cotton university is very much updated. Our course is not having any any laboratory system because there is not necessary anything as a arts student. Faculties were very good and they very much encouraged us.

Placement Experience

We don't say anything about Placement opportunity after completing this program as it is a general degree course. Many of our alumni get jobs in different platform, some of them are having research, P.Hd, at the end last semester many of the companies, NGO's offered us to getting internship.

College Events

Campus life is really enjoyable of the university because we have youth fest, where all colleges performing together and we really enjoyed a lot. The university also holding many international nation & regional conferences, there are many other programs are organized such as yoga day, republic day, cultural exhibition of assamese tradition, food exhibition among north eastern state etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had a little bit of interest in computers from my childhood. When I grew up the interest is increased a little bit more. After completing my HS I decided to take admission in the Computer science program. Then one of my friends suggested me to take admitted to Madhab Choudhary college, BARPETA for the BCA course. Our faculty : student ratio is 1:15 . Our Both two facilities had completed master degree course in Computer Application . I will not say that they are give their best to teach us but they are good in teaching . After every 5 month they conduct sessional exam . And the final exam is held in every six month of period . There is little bit moderate to pass the examination .

I love biology, I wanted to pursue my higher studies in medical so i chose to be a veterinarian as I got selected in Veterinary entrance exam. I like this course as it is all about animal study. I love animals and it will be my immense pleasure if I can do something for them

Admission:

The admission process is very easy The eligibility criteria is 10+2 for any recognized board. Once you apply for the college you have to wait for your name to appear in the merit list. I got my name too soon the merit list as I had good marks in my 12th exams.

Remarks:

Good College. But there may have some negative remarks. But as i completed my graduation from this college i couldn't say any negative remarks about this college. It was gold for me amd this is the only college in Lumding after HS to study .

Review of the oldest University of Assam , cotton University

Admission for master's is done through an entrance exam. The form for it is available on the university website. Eligibility is decided through the entrance score. Of the total seats in each department, 50% are reserved for students from the Cotton University itself, and the rest 50% are for students from other universities. The 50% of seats reserved for university students are given based on merit (cgpa of bachelor's). And the seats for students from other universities are decided by the entrance score. Cotton university graduates get 50% of the seats. of which 2% is for OBC. 2% is for SC and another 1% is for ST.
