Remarks
The campus is extremely nature-friendly, it gives you a positivity and calm your mind if you are tensed. The college has a considerable fame and is recognised as the oldest college in Kerala. The vastness of the campus is considerably large and you have almost all facilities there. they provide us all the oppurtunities that can be explored standing with the terms and rules of the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus we had is updated now from 2019 academic year on wards. There are changes for the best experience of the course. We are allowed to attend all kinds of seminars related to the field of English litarary studies and contemporary criticism. the faculties are good particularity Assistant Professors Ditto Prasad,Dr. Joji Paniker, Susan Vargheese and Dr.Anju George
Internships Opportunities
The course that I have opted doesnot have an internship included in our syllabus.however with the aid of one of our faculties, Betty Elza, our batch was able to take up a small intermship program in a school in Manganam.
Placement Experience
The career and placement cell in the college is hardworking and provides you the best experience. They have tried to incorporate even arts students in their placement interviews. The department brings companies like Infosis and Sutherland to the Campus to interview and place its students.
College Events
The campus allows cultural, academic and association events to be conducted. Onam, christmas etc are celebrated with so many programs. There are college day, sports day, association day and the related that are conducted to enrich our campus life. All dance forms and new initiatives are promoted. However, there were instances where the college had not allowed for certain events to be conducted for certain reasons.
Campus Life
The campus has kept its antique nature. The main library is medium sized, there is a pg library which is also medium sized. Sports is of great importance in the campus. There is adequate facilities for the same. However, wi-fi is not available for students. Labs are also adequate enough for the students' practical experiences.
Hostel Facilities
The PG hostel is inside the campus but located on one corner. Even though the students are allowed to come and go through the college entrance,the real entrance of the college pg hostel named Ella hostel is different. The rooms are good each accomodates 4 students. No attached bathrooms. The hostel is three-floored under the supervision of a warden. The hostel provides facilities to wash your clothes and dry them in the terrace. Easy to avail if you take admission as early as possible. The more it gets late, the less chance you will get to find a seat in the hostel.
