Remarks

Moreover it's a very good college for what it offers. There are ups and downs with management but there is a Student activity Council which really helps the students raise their voice in the management sector quite a lot.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum has about 6-12 modules each semester which are vastly varied subjects. In majority of them a visiting faculty is appointed for guidance. The institute mostly believes in learning by doing and rarely spoonfeeds or holds the hand. There is a CGPA system and at the end there is a Jury presentation of the semester's work.

Placement Experience

2.5

There is a placement session that happens according to disciplines. This usually let's us choose a company or any other sponsor for the last semester graduation project and also a potential studio or company to work post-graduation.

College Events

3.5

There is a annual festival called Monsoon Fiesta where everyone showcases their talents through various fun events that happen there. Additionally, NID student body celebrates many local festivals very pompously, like Garba, Pongal, Onam, Ganesh Chaturthi,

Fee Structure And Facilities

The average fees is about INR 1.5 lakhs per semester. Being an autonomous institute this high amount has been one of the fewer things not so pleasant about this college. The fee too keeps increasing gradually each year. They do provide a fee breakdown.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I haven't gotten a scholarship but the institute does award it based on parental income. There is mostly a 50% to 100% decrement in the total fees.

Campus Life

Gender ratios mostly keep changing. Generally it has a 60% ratio of South Indian students, usually followed by Maharashtrians or Bengalis. There are extracurricular activities like basketball, cricket and football. There are leagues of the aforementioned organized too. There are talk sessions and a film club and a very rich Knowledge Management Center too.

Hostel Facilities

Yes. The hostels are quite nice compared to many other Indian college hostels. There are 3 older buildings A, B and C, latter being the girls' hostel. There are new hostel complex built recently which are even more well furnished than the old ones.

Alumni/Alumna

The entirety of the career of most disciplines actually rests on contacts, which is heavily dependent on alummi and senior interaction.

Admission

I first knew about it from one of my senior. So I applied right after my XII exams. There are two levels- DAT and MAINS. I chose this institution because I always wanted to do animation. And this seemed to be one of the best design colleges in India which provides this course. The admission happens around April-May.

Faculty

3.5

In Animation, there are currently about 4 faculties, one being the head of the department, who usually takes the intradisciplinary decisions. The other facilities specialize in different fields. They all vary in age from 30s to 40s. They are postgraduates or doctors on the subject and hence hold a lot of expertise and knowledge on the matter

Course Curriculum Overview:

Interior design as a career is a good option as you get to know a lot of things practically. The faculty is really good you can have one-to-one conversations whenever you want. They really give attention if you ask one. Our faculties have completed their mdes in interior. One year consists of 2 sem in which sem 1 has 2 parts one is jury which is taken by an external jury member and one from our faculty itself. They ask many questions but you need to have a proper reason for your every work.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I basically choose this course to explore the world more and explore myself too. The overall faculty is really good, keeps students motivated and helps them wherever the students get stuck. The faculty is highly qualified from well known institutes in India, and the term exams are held twice a year and passing the exam depends totally on your preparations.
