Remarks

I am from defense background, and this college is the best example of PPP. It is one amongst the few top B schools in India and best college from the perspective of ROI. It is an old and well established institutes under the Symbiosis International University and hence give an exposure to diversity as well.

Course Curriculum Overview

Its amazing, the faculty are so cooperative, in this corona time we have online classes and everyone is so helpful and all the learning process is going so smoothly. The course is also well designed keeping in mind the holistic development of students.

Class Size: 300Course Fees: INR 1200000 per year

The college doesn't guarantee to get the students a job, but it makes sure to get the companies on the campus. As it is a college and not an employment forum.Since I haven't passed out yet, I can not comment on everything. But I can sight an example of Papa Zapata food outlet in Pune which is the business of former students from SIMS only. There is a placement cell in college as well.

College Events

The campus is very much active in events and extracurricular activities. It has different cells and teams to facilitate the organisation of all the activities. Various compition are held online also. There is event cells, entreprenuership cells, academics cell, etc. All the activities are well co ordinated. Guest lectures are organised time to time. People from industry are called to address us. Also the alumni are there with touch always and motivates us as well.

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

NAMELY INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, COGNIZANT, TCS, CAPEGEMINI, AMDOCS, HCL, TECH MAHINDRA, ETC MULTUPLE APTITUDE ASSESMENT AND CODING ASSESMENT ARE CONDUCTED BY COMPANIES. MANY STUDENT GET PLACED AT AVERAGE OF 4.5 . OFFER ARE LIKE 3LPA, 3,5LPA.4,5LPA, 7LPA, MAX 9LPA OR THIS YEAR BUT STILL IN MY OPNION STUDENT ARE NOT PUTTING ENOUGH EFFORT IN THEIR PLACEMENT DRIVES AND HAVE VERY CASUAL ATTITUDE. SO PERCENTAGE IS AROUND 40% AND I'LL NOT BLAME COLLEGE FOR THIS PERCENTAGE ATLEAST NOT TNP, CUZ FOR SOME REASON STUDENT ARE CLEARING FAILING HERE

Like all other colleges under Symbiosis University, SIMS too, requires clearing the cut off of the SNAP entrance exam. The cut off is usually 92 percentile. After getting shortlisted for the same, there is a GD, WAT, PI round, where in the further competencies of the candidate is tested. I have applied for 3 colleges under the SYMBIOSIS umbrella namely SIBM, Pune SIMS,Pune SCHMRD, Pune. In SIMS Pune i got admission through the defense quota. If we talk about the criteria of college First you have to give a snap exam after that if you are in the cut-off list then you are invited for GDPI Round which is a very fun loving and learning experience for me. The academic criteria for SIMS is at least 50% marks in graduation and not particular about age.
