Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum includes subjects that apply focus on British English prose, essential grammar and Shakespearean drama. The course structure is perfect for a great future in the field of English language and a career in teaching English.
Placement Experience
Currently there aren't much placement opportunities in the college due to the age of the college but the faculty aids us in getting decent internships in cities like Kolkata, Lucknow, Delhi, Chandigarh, etc. The stipend can range from 15-25k per month.
College Events
Cultural events that include Bengali language week, traditional day and many others events happen in our college annually. We as students cheerfully participate and learn a lot about various Indian cultures, that we won't get to see elsewhere.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The course duration if of 2 years and the fees for the entire duration of the course is around 8,500 Rs, with 4,500 Rs to be paid in the first year. Considering the decent quality of education provided, the fees is very much feasible.
Campus Life
Sports like Football, Badminton, chess, throwball are regularly played in the college and teams from college and individual departments regularly participate in inter college and national level sports events.
Admission
Admission is done on the basis of entrance exam, in which relevant scores and rank give you a good chance for grabbing a seat. Also the aggregate score, minimum 50% in bachelor's degree is required. If you have done undergraduate from Cooch Behar then you do not need to give entrance exam.
Faculty
The faculty at my college are well qualified and carry a good amount of experience that is needed to teach an aspiring batch of masters students. I had problems adjusting in the new environment, but my teachers supported me and provided me essential help.
