The course gives a mix of technical & creative knowledge about the sound industry.The duration of the course is 12 months divided into two semesters.The course helps the students to develop skills on music & sound software. The training is done so that the students can listen and analysis the sound to refine the skills and techniques which are needed for critical appraisal of sounds which are reproduced.

The roles offered to students from my batch were audio engineer, sound designer, sound engineer, music and dialogue editor, digital media entrepreneur, live sound engineer, sound recordist etc.The highest package which was grabbed by one of my batch mate was 11 lpa . The recruiting fields in this course are studios, media & publishing companies, audio post production management, design houses, T.V etc. Internships were also offered during my term from media and production houses to the students who are willing to work and gain experience.

The total fees for one semester is 5 L. Moreover the total fees for two years is 19 L after including all the relevant charges. The fees structure is very expensive but if I see the facilities and the opportunities that are provided to us are really very good.

Scholarships are given to those who perform well in the entrance test. Other than that 50% fee concession is given to students whose family income is below 4 lpa. Seats are also reserved for the SC/ST/OBC category. You can even avail bank loans from SBI bank at reasonable rates for educational purposes.

The labs of the college are well equipped with latest technology. ""Celebrate Cinema"" is a event which is organised every year provides a platform to participate in activities like film making, design, media, celebrity panel discussion, screenings etc.""AIYANNA"" which is an annual fashion show gives a platform to students to showcase their brilliant collections and themes with fashion designs. Workshops on improving comedy, studio lightning, costume design session, sound mixing, cinematography etc are held regularly at the college.

Bachelors degree in the relevant course from a recognized university is required to be eligible for admission. Other than that you need to go through general aptitude test which checks your aptitude knowledge. If you clear the first stage you need to further give creative ability test/studio test which is a subjective test for the course that you want to seek admission in. Nextly the student needs to write a statement of purpose which is essay writing for the subject you want to take admission. Lastly a merit will be prepared and you will be called for the personal interview round. If everything goes well you will be granted admission in the college.

In our department there are a mix of veterans who give practical knowledge about sound mixing, media industry etc so that the students learn more from the subjects and are industry ready at the end of the course. Most of the teachers are Phd holders in their respective fields. They often follow an open door policy system where we are free to approach them relating to our doubts and issues.
