Akshit's Review On PSG Polytechnic College, Coimbatore

Our college aids to have a flexible curriculum and to provide best lab facilities to its student and prepares us with the latest methods of industrial practices. Our college aspires to be recognized as one of the leading education in the field of technical education and to enhance foster skill development. It will ultimately mold us to be capable of disseminating us the technical knowledge that we have learnt to apply for the betterment of the society.

It is a 3 year program which is divided into 6 semesters and offered by the directorate of technical education, Chennai. It is also approved by all India council for technical education (AICTE). In this course we are taught about how the work ranges from basic circuit designs to big strategic mass developments. As an engineer, we are also responsible for designing telecom network infrastructure and other complex electronic switching systems.

Various companies are invited to our college by the placement teams such as HCL, Voltas, Wipro, Hyundai Motors, Caterpillar and many more. A pre placement talk is often arrange for the students and the company conducts a group discussion or an interview to weed out the uninterested candidate. Thus the short listed students are interviewed for the final selections and the result is often announced on the same day.

The fees for one year in this Diploma of Electronics and Electrical Engineering is around 4500 per annum. I consider this fees to be very feasible as compared to the different other colleges. There is also an additional special fees of 1000 per year and development charges of 1000 per year which has to be submitted by the student itself.

Our college organises a national journal of technology conference to provide an outstanding medium of interaction between the researchers belonging to different streams of science , technology and research work. We also have a women development cell which aims at creating awareness about the development of the women and also eliminate systematic imbalances.

The admission criteria for a candidate seeking admission in my course should have passed the 10th standard or the SSC examination by a recognized board. The student should obtain at least 35% marks to qualify. You can either apply by an Online or a Offline mode. You need to upload all your relevant documents and fill the application fees and after that the college will call you up for the document verification process and you will be granted admission in the college.

No doubt, our teachers are very good in teaching about the innovative applications of the technology. Even if we make a mistake, our teachers guide us and encourage us to achieve career advancements and are very punctual in their teaching habits.
