Remarks

I completed my graduation from Veterinary College, Shimoga. I learnt many methodologies, techniques and skills throughout my course which helped alot in my career and later life. The college life for me was quite memorable.

Course Curriculum Overview

Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University affiliate the college to run the B.VSc course with 14 different streams. The syllabus is pretty good and incorporates knowledge of rich subjects which are necessary to be studied in this field

Placement Experience

The college offers average placement and job opportunities. The teachers also help students in getting placed. There are various job opportunities opens after this course, whenever veterinary help us required.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee charged per year for my course was around Rs. 22,000. The first year fee could be paid in instalments before the commencement of classes. The total fee for my course was around Rs. 1.1lakhs. There are also state and central scholarships available for students to ease their burden.

Campus Life

The college had good practical labs for various things and also has a well-equipped library with a wide variety of books in it. The college also invites people for guest lectures and holding workshops for students.

Admission

I took admission here based on the CET scores I got in CET exam by Karnataka University. Taking admission here through counselling had been a benefit. After I was called, I proceeded with having my documents verified and submitting a part of the fee to ensure my admission here.

Faculty

The faculty of the college is skilled, experienced and quite helpful. Some of the faculties are quite approachable and less strict, making it easier for us to ask queries and have my doubts resolved. The faculty also uses good teaching techniques.

Great choice for an MCA degree

Placement Experience:

Students became eligible for placements from the 3rd semester. Top companies like Infosys, LTIMINDTREE, TCS and others visit our campus. For MCA the average package is about 6 to 7 lakhs. Almost 70% of students get placed every year.

I think that even if all the jobs are replaced by ai even the ai doctors are working in the hospital so even if everything is replaced by ai the pharmacy can't be replaced by ai because we need to study on what disease are coming and what medicine is required to overcome that so we create the medicine which the ai can't do this is the main thing what made me join this course

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is much related to its aspects. I choose this only because I could not crack NEET exam . And also I was not interested in engineering, so finally I opt B pharm . Not yet preparing for the real world applications or further academic, but they provide basic knowledge that is required for particular times. Can provide more relevant knowledge about the real world and give examples to provide more knowledge. Really very difficult to cope up with the timings of only 3 hours.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1st i opted for b.pharm but once i got to know about pharm.d it shifted my focus, well Pharm.D is much bigger and deeper course as compared to b.pharm and m.pharm, there is an subject (pharmacotherapy) which is exclusive only for pharm.D , the course will bring in depth knowledge about drugs, manufacturing, storing, pharmacokinetics and dynamics, one thing i'd like to change is the practical knowledge, i would like to add more in depth practical knowledge, more exposure to the students in every aspects needed. The course is too big but with proper guidance and knowledge it feels easy.

Placement Experience:

The overall placements of BMSIT is good. The average placement percentage is approximately 75-80%. There is a seperate Placement cell in BMSIT which helps in career options and also provide regular skill training programmes according to industry requirements. The average package in BMSIT is 6-9lpa and i have seen maximum of 22 lpa of a CS guy placed in Phonepay In our (civil) branch the average package is 4.5 lpa and placement percentage is 80%. If you not wish to go for jobs and have an idea to start a business, there is a inovation cell which supports for your buniness ideas. It also provides various online and offline platfroms to expose your ideas and helps getting funds is your ideas is really good.

I have took NEET and KCET exams I have gone through the both state and national level counselling processes. About NEET this time it was an easy paper so the cutoff has been increased about 45 to 30 marks for 480 to 590 marks. Their no lot of variations in greater marks than 600. How to be a veterinarian

The admission of the course is through the Karnataka common entrance test popularly known as (kcet) all the students who passed their 2nd puc after the examination series of the admission procedure will take place. -First is the verification of documents. -They will release the candidates who are all eligible for the filling of choice in order to participate in the counseling process to get into the college. - Later according to certain criteria students will be selected through counseling which is held in 2 rounds followed by 1 extended round. -The students who have been allotted the seats are supposed to get admitted to the college. - The admission fees are paid through online mode this year due to covid outbreak. - The admission procedures were simple but they were clear. -For my concern, I won't feel any changes to be made in the admission procedure. - Overall from the process of examination to the admission if we are clear with all the certificates which we claim the procedure was smooth....Read More

An eye on veterinary college, Shivamogga

Good, huge campus but far away from city. There is no direct public transport. Campus life is absolutely fantastic. Beautiful rainy seasons. Gender ratio has been increasing every year and is almost 1:1. Good support by the college and staff for extracurricualr activities.
