- To be honest i didn't find anything that is worth liking
Dislikes
- Infrastructure and management of the college is not good as one can expect
Course Curriculum Overview
1st i opted for b.pharm but once i got to know about pharm.d it shifted my focus, well Pharm.D is much bigger and deeper course as compared to b.pharm and m.pharm, there is an subject (pharmacotherapy) which is exclusive only for pharm.D , the course will bring in depth knowledge about drugs, manufacturing, storing, pharmacokinetics and dynamics, one thing i'd like to change is the practical knowledge, i would like to add more in depth practical knowledge, more exposure to the students in every aspects needed. The course is too big but with proper guidance and knowledge it feels easy.
Internships Opportunities
The college has an tie up with hospital , so 5th and 6th year students are alloted in different groups to departments , usually the internship in 5th year will be around 5 to 6 months ,and in 6th year around 12months, for each 2months the department alloted will change so the interns will work on every departments. Compared to other colleges, we don't get stipend fund. So we have to work there for free
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee for KCET students is 67,750? Fee for management quota is 1,70,000? However there is and additional fee for KCET students of 20,000? as infrastructure fee For pharm d course the fee is paid yearly wise The fee will be as mentioned above
Campus Life
There's no clubs in the 1st place, and the infrastructure feels same as an british architecture (coz its that old), annual day once in 2 or 3 years, Library is good, just an projector in classes , only some old fans and no working AC, well there is student form where students are appointed to be the voice of students i don't think there is enough freedom to that voice so far
Admission
Other colleges demanded more management fee , and i chose this college only on the basis of kcet seat allotment, i got cet seat so i opted this college, the admission process was easy , the staffs took care of everything, one thing i didn't expected was the management took an extra 20,000? over the fee of 67,500?(cet fee), well i was too young to ask question, so i did pay 20,000? , every year the total fee will be around 90,000?
Faculty
As for the faculty, they are knowledgeable. Pharm d course is a 6 years post graduation course where you will study 4years in the college and the remaining 5th and 6th years are the internship you should do in hospital , pharmacy and etc. Final examination is held once in a year around November and December But the internal marks given is based the the 3 sessionals which will be conducted by the college ,out of 3 sessionals 2 are compulsory. Final exam is written for 70 marks and remaining 30 marks given for the sessionals exams performance, well i don't think there are enough faculties to handle the students
Interview Experience
No GD or test, just go and ask for admission at the office. They'll provide a fee structure. If u accept provide all the necessary documents (adhaar, income certificate, marks sheet, student photo)
Night Life
No gym , there is one canteen and an library, no hostel, well there are lot of places to roam around like a night hangout i would suggest nearby park , palace , chamundi hill. The thing is you have to be on your own or with your friends to explore , college doesn't get involved in night life
Other Applied Colleges
JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research | Pharm.D
Demanded excessive management fee
