Remarks

About the college, it is a decent college and the students here are nice. The seniors are supportive and we have many societies one can join for co-curricular stuff. The college follows anti-ragging policy and thus ragging is prohibited. The teachers are well experienced and trained apart a few. The infrastructure of the building is decent and the classroom is spacious too. They are just like one has in their schools. We have a great auditorium in which the Air conditioner rarely works. The canteen is great too. The ground is good and regularly maintained. The library has good seating capacity as well as is air-conditioned.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Economics as a career is highly rewarding in the current environment. We need economists to study agriculture in an increasingly changing global weather patterns, decode financial implications of economic plans as well as help the government formulates administrative policies. Economics Honours graduates are in high demand in almost every Fortune 500 company as well for top government jobs. The options with this degree are endless.

Placement Experience

3.5

Every department has there owned a placement cell. Placement cells perform decently. I think the placement depends upon the student, not on the college. If a student is capable enough to get a good profile so no one can beat him/her to grab that opportunity.

College Events

4.5

College Fest ‘Engifest’ provides you three days long cultural extravaganza held in the month of February. All-time favourite celebrities like Sunidhi Chauhan, Vishal-Shekhar, Amit Trivedi, Bhuvan Bam rock the fest with their overwhelming performances. It is one of the most successful and cultural festivals of North India. EDM nights of ‘Engifest’ are pure bliss and being a part of this extravaganza is worth it.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Satyawati is owned by the central government and afflicted through the University of Delhi. Fees of the college are just like peanut for me. It is Rs. 7000 per year. The prime reason for this is that the UGC funding to the college is less in proportion because the college strictly admits only 300–400 students in 1year, which is 1. 2k students across all years and courses. Whereas other colleges have a population of 5–6k students, one can imagine the kind of difference it portrays, both in fee collection and the quality of students.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I don't opt for any scholarship. Actually, every college of Delhi University has an individual scheme for a scholarship. It is only Depends on college. if you got a good college than chances of good scholarship is good. I want to say that It is not easy to get schola grip in Delhi university but some college provides scholarship on the basis of some parameters suggested by the college.

Campus Life

4

In many colleges of Delhi University, there is a big gap between the enrolment of male and female students, among them the popular Kirori Mal College and Hindu College. There has been an attempt by some institutions to attract more girls by allowing a concession in the aggregate percentage for specified subjects, but not all colleges are as generous to the women aspirants.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

No, I didn't opt for a hostel. In a hostel, one feels at home as one gets to interact with people from different courses. There is a feeling of team spirit in the hostel. Also, the advantage of staying here is that it is easier for students to seek their peers’ help with their studies.

Alumni/Alumna

You absolutely should make friends with seniors at your college or university because their experience often is invaluable for new students. We learn from our mistakes, but, in this case, you can learn from the mistakes and experiences of others to avoid making mistakes of your own. Plus, most seniors remember the feeling of being entirely new and are happy to lend their sage wisdom to your benefit.

Admission

So there are so many colleges which are affiliated through Delhi University. I was in the college named CVS previously than the new cut off came and I was surprised to get my dream college and dream course. So I withdrawal my admission from CVS and went to Satyawati College with my dad. I think it was on the 28th of August when we get to the college for admission. I was really happy to get my dream college and dream course as well. The process is really smooth you need to submit all necessary documents to the administration department and then you have to pay a fee online.

Faculty

4

So there are so many lecturers available for different subjects. All professor is highly qualified from universities like DU, JNU, Jamia, MSE, ISI and many more. They are highly recommended by me because they have really deep knowledge in their fields. I think I am blessed to be a student of them. The average age of teachers is 35-40 years.

Course Curriculum Overview:

British classics, Indian writing, postcolonial literature builds a strong foundation in literary analysis, critical thinking, and interpretation, which are useful skills. As for comprehensiveness, the curriculum is quite broad. It covers multiple literary periods, genres, and critical theories over the three years, so you’re not really missing out on the essentials. In that sense, it feels academically complete. But sometimes, it leans more towards breadth over depth you move quickly from one topic to another.

There's a placement cell and placement drives do happen in college but genuinely the package offered is not really considerable. After the 4th semester students are considered to sit in the placement drives though I would say it is not very efficient and fruitful.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

The course offers many things for students interms of their further academic pursuits or any placement they are looking for. Talking about the areas of improvement and teaching methods there are none. The exams of the respective subject are to happen. They take test 1 , test 2 and there is final exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.
