College review

The college management was not bad but maybe it can be approved by some standards.

In our field, practical knowledge is as important as theoretical knowledge. Dedicated hours in the morning are given for clinical postings and in the afternoon lectures are held. Professors are helpful, they do not hold grudges. Ragging is prohibited in the campus. Visits are there, but they are less.

Compulsory I gtnternship of 6 months is done mostly in the college campus only but they also send us to other hospitals such as ruby hall clinic for internship.

Annual day, sports week, cultural days teachers day and physiotherapy day are some of the days that are celebrated in the college. All these activities are organized by the student council committee. The annual day takes place in a grand scale. And as the college does not have its own football ground, such activities are conducted in the nearby playground areas.

At the time of joining it was 81000. This was in the year 2014. The fees remains the same for the whole four years. At the time of internship you will have to pay some extra amount. Yes the college is transparent with the amount and no added fees is required. At present the fees stands around 1 lakh 70 thousand per annum.

The college normally does not provide scholarship options. This might be considered as one of the drawbacks.

Dy patil has a healthy campus life. Canteens are present inside the campus only. The campus has a state of the art centralised ac library which you can access any time. There is very little discrimination regarding the different departments. As physiotherapy is seen as a female dominant carrier, male ratio is less than females. Though with new batches coming this gap is getting decreased.

Yes numerous alumni meets are held in the college grounds. Many of them are helpful where they provide insights into different procedures and techniques.

The college holds its own private entrance exam. For bachelor in physiotherapy there are 150 seats. The people who are selected in the exam are called in for counseling where necessary documents are to be submitted at the time of registration. Normally classes start from 1st week of August. In case of any delay they will inform you.

The faculty is mostly compromised by junior staff. But, there are experienced teachers also. The classes are interactive and they teach with the help of presentations which makes understanding more easy. The senior staffs have abundant knowledge and they help you not only with academics but also with projects, paper presentations and scientific research journals.
