Remarks

All good. Some cases there are some bad things like fighting, done day etc. But overall good.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum was quite good in comparison to other colleges as our professors were highly qualified and they know till which extent they have to go to make us understand the things. They used to give us the industry related examples by comparing that with normal life which was very easy for us to grab. The labs were highly developed with latest technology machines. These examples helped me a lot during my campus placement. They even made us go for an internship to any of the industries. Professionals took us for an industrial trip to aluminium manufacturing industry where we can see how it was extracted tilll the finished products. Doubts were solved in no time. They made us feel friendly towards our subjects.

Placement Experience

3

Placement was not that good. For mechanical and civil all the companies they brought were startups, some came to be fraud as no existence, some came to be treating differently. For other trades the campus were quite good. For my course the company visited are Friction Elements, Reliance, Lintech, etc. Placement teams have a target that any how all has to be placed but it doesn't matter to them what type of company it is. They used to take one month salary for that particular company and only after that they give the offer letter. For developing the skills they conduct many seminars for the interview and skill building.

College Events

4.5

Events conducted are tech fests, annual sports, annual function. All used to happen inter college wise. Many colleges used to come and share there idea. We used to celebrate many different festivals. There were programs like robotics, robo war, robo race etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible as well as expensive. During my admission they told that it will decrease year after year but there was no chance rather it increased. For booking we were to pay some amount to fix it and it was getting deducted from the main fees while admission. Yes they give the breakdowns very properly.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes I availed for scholarship and it was tied up with College. The professional used to come and share the details and we used to apply online and get paid for that after 10 months.

Campus Life

5

Campus Life was very interesting. No ragging. Gender ratio was almost same. All kinds of extra curricular activities were taken into concern. We were having free gymnasium. Politics were very less, none of them like to involve them in any kind of politics.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Yes I opted for hostel. The rooms were good and the number of occupants were only 3. All hostels are wifi enabled. Food was very nice. They used to charge 50000 for the hostel. Food given was 3 times which were included in 50000, but evening snacks were extra paid.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes the seniors were very helpful. They help us to develop our skillset. Helped in our studies by clearing the doubts.

Admission

I got the admission after giving OJEE entrance exam and after that I booked seats in this college after going through the fees structure. I opted this college as the fees was quite ok. Then after booking the seats I went for nodal centre to have my certificate, marks verified and to finalize the college. After that there was two rounds for your trade selection. In first round I got civil as my trade and in final round I got mechanical. So I chose mechanical as it was the final and awaited for the admission date. Paying fees was quite good as they allowed to pay in installments. This was the full process.

Faculty

4.5

Total number of lecturers for my course were 20. Each of them were highly qualified in there prospective. Some were PhD holders, some with Mtech, some with highly industrial experience, and one was IITian. The age of the lecturers were not that old only leaving 2-3 all were mostly around 35-40 years.

Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University - [SOA], Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Jan 9, 2026(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Relevance & Comprehensiveness (Rating: 7/10) The course curriculum at SOA is updated frequently compared to state government colleges. Why I chose this: I was attracted to the fact that the syllabus includes modern electives like Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics starting from the 3rd year itself, rather than waiting for the final semester. Real-world Prep: The curriculum is designed largely to crack placement interviews. There is a heavy focus on Aptitude and Core Coding subjects (DS/Algo) which helps in getting a job. However, for deep research or R&D roles, the theoretical depth is sometimes lacking. 2. Areas for Improvement Teaching Methods: A major issue is the reliance on PowerPoint Presentations (PPTs). Many faculty members just read off the slides. I would prefer more "Whiteboard Teaching" for mathematical and logic-based subjects. Lab Records: We spend hours handwriting practical records/files which are just copied from the manual. This is a waste of time. This time should be used for live coding projects or hackathons. Outdated Subjects: First-year students (even in CS/IT) are forced to learn heavy mechanical/civil concepts. While basics are good, the depth of these non-core subjects should be reduced. 3. Exam System & Difficulty Frequency: It is quite hectic. We have 2 semesters a year. Each semester has 2 Internal Assessments (Quizzes/Mid-sems) and 1 End-Semester Exam. Basically, you have an exam every 1.5 to 2 months. Difficulty: The exams are Easy to Moderate. It is not very difficult to pass. If you study the "Class Notes" and "Previous Year Questions" for 3-4 days before the exam, you can easily score an 8.0 SGPA. The checking is lenient for passing, but strict if you are aiming for a 9.5+ SGPA.

I actually have a very little idea about placements of our uni few seniors says there is not a single company visiting, while few were discussing the highest placement which was something like 20lpa or something,i think companies do visit our campus it may not be much but i have definetly seen one or two companies visiting. I plan to do MBA after my Btech so i am not that serious about whether i am getting placed or not.

Gandhi Engineering College (GEC Autonomous), Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Dec 22, 2025(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I mainly chose this course because the college is Autonomous, which allows them to update the syllabus faster than standard university colleges; seeing subjects like Python and Data Science in the early semesters really influenced my decision. The curriculum is decent for getting placed in service-based companies like TCS or Wipro since they focus heavily on the basics and aptitude, though for high-end product roles or research, you have to put in extra effort yourself. I definitely think they need to reduce the theory load and focus more on practical coding because sometimes it feels like we are just writing assignments instead of building things. Also, the junior faculty rely too much on reading from slides, which really needs to change to make classes more engaging. As for exams, it feels like we are always writing them since we have two internals and one end-semester exam per term. They are moderately difficult and the checking is strict, so you can't slack off, but the tight schedule can get quite exhausting.
