Remarks

College management is extremely supportive of the students. They give us full freedom and will do whatever they can to help the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Curriculum and exam structure is quite old. But leaving the out the academics part, there is a lot more that can be learnt. For example there are events and clubs where you can get yourself enrolled and learn a lot. Also there is continuous exposure through guest lectures and various other sessions.

Placement Experience

5

Placements and internships are really good for CSE and IT depts. Seniors help conduct classes to help students get through internships and placement process. Institution conducts lectures to prepare us for the same.

College Events

5

Events are organised and conducted by the students themselves. And also quality of competition in most of the events is very high. Kurukshetra is one of the biggest techno management fest in all of India. It has both technical and non technical events. It also encompasses all depts.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's a govt run institution. So fee structure is very low compared to other college institutions. Regular students are only charged around 16, 000 per annum and self support students are charged around 32, 000. But there's no difference really between the two sets other than the fees. An additional amount of around 1500 is charged as part of exam fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offers many scholarships for economically backward people. There are also many scholarships for the backward caste students. You can avail them easily by filling out forms which can be gotten from the Dean's office.

Campus Life

4

Gender ratio is quite healthey. And campus life is possibly the best you can ever ask for. Almost all facilities are available within the campus itself and you actually don't need to go beyond the campus for any needs. Also everyone are treated equally and there's no discrimination on any lines in the campus.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

No I haven't opted for hostel. But from my friends' opinions I can say hostel food isn't quite up to the standard and so more often than not students end up eating from the canteen or from outside restaurants

Alumni/Alumna

There's an alumni association called CEGAM and they continuously organise events and activities to help the students. Same can be said about the seniors.

Admission

One of the premier institutions in the city and provides a very good exposure. Coding is a passion for me and that made me opt for CSE Dept. Admission process starts a few weeks after the 12th state board results are released. Random numbers are generated and then rank lists are published and then there's counselling process which is the final step.

Faculty

4

Most of them are really good in their respective subjects. They know their subjects like the back of their hand. They genuinely try their best to get the students to grasp the concepts. Only a very few staff are not as you would expect. But nevertheless all the staff are extremely friendly and easily accessible.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well designed and covered both fundamental and advanced concepts. We choose elective papers each sem one paper from third sem. That selection of elective papers made us to do case study of real world exposure and competency. The curriculum prepared us for the reasonable real world applications. Also workshops and internships bridged the gap between industry expectations and academics. The teaching methods are really supportive and knowledgeable. On the whole the curriculum was strong and but needs to be imapctful.
