Remarks

Overall a decent college in terms of studies. No unruly behaviour of students or management. There are great PhD professors in the college. Just one thing is placement is not good enough, especially for Mechanical and Civil Engineering departments.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum and the exam structure is based on the syllabus of Anna University. As far as the syllabus is concerned, I'll say it is very old based on the machines related in the 1980's & 1990's. I don't think the course really helped me getting my dream job. Forcefully, I had to change my field.

Placement Experience

3

Yes, placement facility is available in our college. But as far as I think, it mostly favours the CSE, ECE, EEE and IT engineering departments. Mostly IT companies are the ones which visit the college for the placement. It is very rare for a core company to visit our college. During my time of study, none of the core companies visited our college. The institution takes steps to prepare for placement but I don't think it's sufficient enough.

College Events

4

Our college holds different types of events for students, staff and management. It is a nice thing because everyone can take advantage of the extra curricular activities and sports. Some of the events are College culturals, sports events, quiz competition, technical events, symposium, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible I would say. For those who have got admission through merit, is around ?50000. For those who have got admission through interview have fee about ?80000. Yes for some who have got very low grades in schools have paid additional fee to secure admission into the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't opt for any education loan or scholarship but the college provided scholarship for backward caste, SC and ST community. I'm not sure but it was around ?25000.

Campus Life

4.5

As far as the gender ratio is concerned, only mechanical department didn't have any girls in it. Other departments had equal sex ratio. Yes the college provided different workshops, cultural activities, etc. I didn't see any discrimination inside the college based on gender, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, politics and economic status. There was no politics or dorm parties inside the college campus.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes I had known a few alumni of my department. They somewhat helped and suggested me few jobs and courses which helped me.

Admission

I attended interview and got the admission in this college. I liked mechanical engineering course because I had good interest in it. I used to see mega factory episodes and liked the environment. This was a decent College and the bus facility was available near my house.

Faculty

4.5

There was totally eight semesters in the engineering course. There are many faculties. Each of them having different experiences and knowledge about the relevant subjects. There were many experienced professors who were holding PhD degree in the research they made. It was fun to learn the knowledge from them and their experiences.
