How my marine engineering journey started

The curriculum is a very well constructed syllabus, the first year we learn all the basics and the following three years is for the department-specific subjects. We have one final exam per semester, totally 8, and internal exams in between.

The placement cell trains us very well for the placements prior to the campus drive, they train us in the aptitude test and mock interviews, almost everyone here gets placed except the one with really low CGPAs or those who want to pursue higher studies.

The fee is feasible even if not there are education loans available for those who cannot pay the fee. The fee is Rs. 2,25,000 for one year inclusive of the fee like hostels and mess. There are certain miscellaneous fee will be notified then and there which needs to be paid online.

Scholarship of Rs. 75,000 is provided to the first 9 students out of 25 students who are academically excellent and the rest of the 25 get a scholarship of Rs 50,000. The education loan can also be availed by the students who could not afford to pay the fee.

Our college supports extracurricular activities just like academics. Sports and cultural activities are organized by the college, celebrated in a grand manner. The labs are well-equipped with all the necessary equipment.

The hostel feels like home, the rooms are very spacious even though we are on a sharing basis. The mess is clean and hygienic and the food is amazing and nutritious. We have a great space for relaxing and studying.

The alumni network is very strong, most of our alumni are in great well-known organizations leading a great life. They all guide us in all the possible ways like career and academics, they are very supportive and friendly.

I wrote the exclusive entrance exam known as the IMU-CET, based on my score and ranking I had to choose this college for my B.tech degree. You are called for counselling after the test results come out. The minimum mark to obtain in your boards is 60%.

The teachers here are very interactive with the students, they keep the class as lively as possible, they are rarely boring. All of them are very well-qualified and experienced staff members. None of them is partial they treat us all equally.
