Remarks

They often tend to reschedule classes on the weekend due to attendance requirements. Moreover, there is a 85-75% attendance requirement for each course. If the attendance is till 85%, it is okay. Between 85-75% means there will be a final grade drop in that particular course, and below 75% is a repeat of the course.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum for Economics is quite nice since we get to work with real life data and make interesting correlations and inferences. We work on projects that involve applying our theoretical knowledge into providing our solutions for various problems we see around ourselves in the economy. The grading criteria is relative, so it's done on a bell curve.

Placement Experience

3

There is a placement office cell on campus that helps students look for internships and placements before graduation. I have never been to the placement cell, however, I've heard one of my batch mates has received an offer of internship from JSW Steel for 2 months, paying him Rs. 50, 000/- for the duration.

College Events

4

We have two big fest's on campus - A sports fest Kurukshetra and a film fest -Firstcut. We get huge sponsors for the same, and the entire college is involved in making it a success. We also have FLAME fest where the entire college is divided into 4 and competes in different cultural aspects.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee when I joined was 7, 30, 000/- and will be the same till I graduate in 2021. However, every year the incoming batch's fee is raided by 10%. There are scholarships available on need based and merit based. I am currently on merit-based scholarship, so my actual fee payment is lesser.

Fees and Financial Aid

They offer merit and need based scholarships. There are quite a few students, as per my knowledge, who are on 100% scholarship. I, myself, am on merit-based scholarship. They also have tie-ups with different scholarship funds for post-graduate studies.

Campus Life

3.5

A world class sports complex is currently on it's way, with indoor basketball court, badminton court, gym, swimming pool, and so on. It has a new built running track, and a turf football field. It has yoga rooms, and newly built tennis courts.

Hostel Facilities

3

There are two types of housing available on campus - with AC and without AC housing. AC housing with attached washourooms are for RS. 75, 000/- extra a semester, while non-AC housing with attached washourooms are Rs. 60, 000/- eatra a semester. The non-AC housing with communal washouroom system (3 people share one washouroom) is not charged any extra amount. The housings on campus are relatively new, and of good infrastructure. There are more housing blocks coming up to accommodate new students.

Alumni/Alumna

Definitely, the alumni come to campus for talks, and to help current students out. They often refer their companies to students for internships, and are always ready to help out. The alumni are also mentioned/featured in a 'Life@FLAME newsletter'.

Admission

The admission process begins by filling out certain academic information from the past, and also drafting up an SOP of not more than 300 words. Then you move onto the next step of interview, group discussion, and FEAT - FLAME Entrance Aptitude Test. All the processes are relatively chilled out, since they want to see whether you're current affairs knowledge is good, whether you are able to confidently express yourself in the GD, and so on. The entrance exam consists of Math, GK and English.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is quite knowledge, and knows how to interact with the class. However, in some courses or subjects, some faculty aren't able to grasp the attention of all the students. Since it's a liberal arts University, out of the box methods are meant to be adopted. In some of the classes, that tends to not happen.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Quite substandard and below average. Prioritised rote learning over critical thinking. Just a rubber stamp for a degree. No actual education ever took place. Exams were anually or bi annually. Exams were difficult if you cannot write 30 pages in 3 hours.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculam is designed for all round development of the student and to make that person an expert in that field, these aspects influeneced me to choose it. Very well, with extra paper of real world application on each subject it ensures that we take something from the course and become industry ready The teachings methods and cirriculam are excellent I don't think any changes are required Exams are all year round, every month and are extremly difficult to deal with, as Xavier's bar is very high.

Yes, there is no specific place where we get to know that whether the college is open or not on a specific day like the day which has been declared closed by the government. The college doesn’t provide this facility for us. We have to move all towards our home to the college to get this thing.
