Remarks
When I completed my graduation I thought of doing MBA from an institute which would place me in a reputed company with a handsome package and FLAME University suited all my needs. I applied through my CAT score and gave all the details about my graduation results. The university is good and provides ample opportunities to learn and grow.
Course Curriculum Overview
The 2 year MBA course is divided into 4 semesters. During the first year there are all compulsory subjects like Economics, Finance etc. You get to choose your Major from Finance, Marketing and HR during the second year. The course is very hectic as we need to do multiple things in a single time but that would help you in your upcoming years. One who follows the classes regularly will find the exams easy.
Internships Opportunities
We are required to do an 8 weeks internship program which is added during the final results. Everybody gets internship and you can opt for off campus internship as well. Companies such as HDFC, Westin, Syntel and Amazon come for internships. The internships are mainly paid with average salary from 7000 to 10000 rupees. I had a very good experience at TATA where I got an in look into their company.
Placement Experience
It is due to the high placement rates which makes the university a must choice. Every year the percentage of placements keep growing and last year it was 87%. The students receive offers after their 1st year. Major recruiting companies are TCS, InfoEdge, Federal Bank, Berger Paints, RBL Bank and so on. The median salary last year was 7.5 LPA while the highest package offered was 15 LPA. Students are mainly recruited in the Marketing domain followed by HR and Finance.
Fee Structure And Facilities
When it comes to the fees it may seem a bit too much compared to other B schools. The fees annually is 6.6 Lakh rupees, thus you would need to pay 13.2 Lakh rupees in two years. Need based scholarships are given to the financially weak students. You can avail the merit based scholarship during the time of admission. A special FLAME Fellows Program Scholarship is provided to the post graduate students.
Campus Life
Sadly our batch didn't have the opportunity to do offline classes. But even the online interactions are lively. Various seminars, quizzes and entertainment sessions are done online. Special sessions are held to keep a check on the mental wellbeing of the students. This year the annual fest Kurukshetra was done online and I participated in Blending the Odds event. We got access to the E library which helps us a lot in our academics.
Hostel Facilities
I didn't have the opportunity to stay at the hostel due to the pandemic. But our seniors have shared their experience which attracts me a lot to visit our hostels. I learnt the facilities are top class and the hostels have good study environment.
Admission
You would be informed about your GD and PI round once you get selected through your CAT score. We had everything online due to the pandemic. In the GD there were 8 members in the panel and we discussed about the pandemic. The PI was mainly focused on my academics, extracurricular activities and reasons for choosing MBA and so on.
