UEMKS follows the syllabus provided by AICTE. Just like other colleges there are 8 semesters in B.tech curriculum irrespective of any branch. In B.Tech in each semester there are two midterms, one semester practical exam and one semester theory exam is there. One thing everyone will say that this is one of the best College for pursuing Computer Science and Engineering as there are several computer labs.

UEMK have only two pass-out batch. but based on these two past record it can be said that it is the no 1 University in Kolkata interms of placement record. Almost 97-99%% students were placed in first batch, and almost 100% students got placed of 2nd batch. Although most of the service based and startup companies come to the college for placement drives, but they offer descent package to the students. Companies like TCS, CTS, Infosys, Capgimini, HCL, SAP Labs, Delloite, wipro and there are many other companies which come to college to recruit the freshers. packages they offered like 3-5lakh/annum. average package one can expect between 3-4lakh, and few companies come which offers higher packages like 12&15lakhs even.

Each year UEMKS hosts different technical and cultural festival, It organised one of the biggest tech event in Kolkata which is knows mainly as URECKON, some giants like ISRO comes to this technical fests.

For B.Tech fee structure is 60K per semester. Compare to others engineering colleges listed under makaut it is little bit expensive but interms of placement, education, opportunities it is quite affordable even for a middle class family.

For meritorious students college provide scholarship, based on there marks they got in higher secondary examination. They mainly provide scholarship to the students who got above 85-90% in there Higher Secondary examination.

Honestly speaking this college is not for sports, UEMK does not even have it's own ground to play. although small sports tournament are organised each year by the students and faculties but one will not get exposure in sports if they join this college. If someone is truly interested in engineering they can definitely join this college as it mostly focused on the study. All the labs are well equipped with with computers and with all other materials.

One of the best thing about the college is that seniors are very helpful and they are very friendly to their juniors. one will not face any kind of ragging in the college. They inspired the students to do research oriented tasks. Most of the seniors help students in their studies. Most of them are placed in companies like which was mentioned and few are placed in some tech giants like IBM, Microsoft etc

To get admission in University Of Engineering And Management one must sit in WBJEE OR JEE MAIN Or in the exam conducted by the college itself which is IEMJEE, based on the exam ranking one will get chance in the college.

Most of the faculty members are from IIT, NIT, and colleges like from BITS, Jadavpur etc. All the facilities are very helpful except few. Faculty members of Bio Tech and CS branch are really talented and they have the capability to inspire the students.
