Remarks
IEM tends to maintain a very disciplined environment. However, if one wants to spend their college life like Karan Johar's movie then this is just not the right place for you. 75%+ attendance is expected and college will make sure one have that much attendance. However, IEM helps you become punctual because if you come late you'll not be allowed to attend class that day, which seems frustrating at that time. Later in life one will understand the necessity of it.
Course Curriculum Overview
Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering is a course that one should definitely opt for if he/she is interested towards communication and how the internet world works along with the ability to accept any kind of challenges and with a mind to build something innovative. There are total 8 semesters in this 4 years course, where 1 semester comprises of 6 months. The best thing about engineering is that you'll never get bored, it's always fun to learn new stuff.
Placement Experience
IEM is best known for their placement drive. They provide tons of job opportunities with pretty wide payscale. IEM also arranges a special class for improving aptitude and programming skills before placements.
College Events
There are a lot of events that take place almost throughout the year. Starting from fresher's to technical fest and IEM-UEM Marathon, IEM gives you a platform to showcase all your hidden talents. There are many clubs that one can join if interested.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure in all private engineering college is more or less the same. The approximate semester fee for a typical semester is around 50,000-53,000/- except for the first semester. In the first semester the fee is around 72,000/- because is includes the caution money along with the semester fee.
Fees and Financial Aid
A lot of seminars are being arranged in IEM which focuses solely on foreign opportunities and scholarships. If one is interested, one can very well attend such seminars and can take help from the faculties and achieve what they desire for!
Campus Life
There are a lot of sports event that take place in IEM. Inter-college, inter- department cricket and football tournaments are a big hit! IEM-UEM Marathon is the biggest event that includes thousands of people to take participation and making it a great success!
Alumni/Alumna
The best part of college life is seniors! The bond that all the seniors and juniors share is beyond any explanation. They always guide whenever one faces any difficulties be it in academics or personal life.
Admission
I always had a keen interest towards latest technologies after my WBJEE rank was out, I opted for joining IEM and pursue my career as an electronics engineer. I wholeheartedly love my course and I'm glad to get such an outstanding opportunity in my life.
Faculty
IEM comprises of highly qualified and supportive faculty. The best part is that they're eager to clear all doubts even after college hours. However, they are pretty strict when it comes to maintaining discipline.
